I am strange then as I don't want to see or do these things. I am a very quiet lived person. I don't want to do anything that draws attention to me, even if I point them to Jesus as the reason.

If I am asked why I live as I do, I let them know I am a Christian. If they ask me more, I will tell them, if not, maybe I planted a seed.

Maybe you failed to notice that Mark describes the signs of the Apostles at work among those who believed the Apostolic word preached.
The signs credentialed their word as the word of God.

Maybe you failed to notice that the Word of God we preach is near us!!! It's found in our hearts and on our lips, if we pay attention. Moses explained that to a people (even God's chosen) who would not listen to Him and they said 'Do not let God speak to us'. And Paul explained this also, writing to not say in your heart who will ascend into heaven or who will descend into hell because that was trying to either bring Christ down from a far off place or up from the dead. They both explained that Jesus Christ was near you so that you can hear from Him. As did the prophets like Isaiah who wrote " Hear, O Israel for the Lord speaks!!

Jesus said He would never leave us, and His name is called the Word of God because He speaks to those willing to listen! And He also goes by "I AM" because He is an omnipresent being who didn't lie when He said He was always with you. Have you not read that the Word was with God and was God and took on flesh and walked with the disciples and said He would never leave them, sending His Holy Spirit? So why would you think that He would not work miracles among us if we obeyed His voice? That what is stated in the Bible. But it is also written that with their ears they don't hear and with their eyes they don't see - and those of God hear the words of God. for this reason you don't hear them.

It is also written that He stands at the door and knock and if anyone (which would include you if you cared to believe it) hears His voice and opens the door He will come into them and eat with them and them with Him. So have you rejected that idea, because of your leaning on your understanding instead of seeking Him like the Scriptures explain over and over?

Oh - you are not alone. This was explained over and over and over in the Scriptures.

Is 1:18 " Come now,and let us reason together" says the Lord, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow... If you consent and obey, You will eat the best of the land - (miracles, awesome words form God, incredible things of a large variety) - B if you refuse and rebel, You will be devoured by the sword."

So I testified that I listen to Him and times and incredible things happened.

Jn 3:11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you do not accept our testimony.

Do you read the "we speak of what we know"? I often have had to deal with scoffers but I also know many Christians and worked with them in ministry (there were always at least 2 of us and often 3 or 4) where we have seen God do incredible things right in front of us.

It is really sad to meet people who have been proclaiming and devoted Christians for years and have never seen God do miracles nor heard His voice. Yet sometimes they do start to listen when ministered to and they see the miracles. Then it is incredibly exciting.

We once had a lady who had been a devoted Christian for 35 years and the secretary at a Christian church in town. Her shoulder was hurting her and she heard about our Christian healing ministry. We prayed for her shoulder and instantly the Lord healed it. She was excited and amazed because she had heard of but never experienced God's healing power. Then I heard the Lord ask me to have her seek His voice. It turned out that she had never heard His small voice either. Again she had heard about it but never experienced it. So I just had her ask the Lord a question and listen in her spirit for the response and she heard Him. OH MY... that was better to her than the shoulder being healed, according to her. And right she was.

Do you remember the first words said in the garden were "Did God really say"... does that remind people of anything in this thread? How is our discernment of spirits?

My friends; Jesus Christ is Lord!!! He is our Lord if we get personal instructions from Him!! It is not enough that you read what He spoke to someone more than 2000 years ago! You need to know Him personally for yourself, and that is exactly what He wants!!

I just gave you scriptures after scriptures and can give you lots more -- My friend - you need to seek the Lord Jesus Christ and listen to Him just like the Scriptures explain. The Word is near you! You find it in your heart and on your lips if you start seeking Him. But if you deny Him and you don't get to know Him as your Lord so that you listen to and get your instructions from Him, then you are not being taught by Him and it is written that they will all be taught of God!!

So the Scriptures don't teach you He does!! The Scriptures are the textbook not the Teacher!! Read what you wrote and you can indeed see the problem you have.

And as for my stories, they are the testimonies which you will find with all those that know the Lord Jesus Christ. They testify that the Lord Jesus Christ is indeed working with us, like the Scriptures say He does, but you reject our testimonies just like the Scripture I already gave you and you reject. I'll give you a few more Scriptures and another testimony so you again can reject the Lord's sayings and work or change your mind and start seeking Him? The choice will always be yours until a day of judgement comes upon you.

Is 30:9 For this is a rebellious people, false sons. Sons who refuse to listen to the instruction of the Lord.

Is 30:20,21 … He your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher. Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.

So when people refuse to listen to the Lord it is because they are rebellious and indeed are false sons

When people turn to Him they find that He is the Teacher - the Scriptures are not the Teacher, the Lord is!!

Ezek 3:6,7 … But I have sent you to them who should listen to you; yet the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, since they are not willing to listen to Me.

So for a testimony. A while back the Lord asked me to turn to Ezekiel 3 and read there. I usually spend some time in the morning with Him and my Bible. He is not the Bible, but the Teacher. So I read as instructed and then while I was reading the Lord started talking to me as I read. He was telling me that He was sending me to a people who would not listen to me because they were unwilling to listen to Him. So He still does the same type of thing, and unfortunately people tend to do the same type of thing.

The reason the people then did not listen to Ezekiel is because the main point of Ezekiel's message was that the people should listen to the Lord. So, if they had been willing to listen to the Lord they would have been willing to listen to Ezekiel. Just like now. But if a person is not willing to listen to our Lord Jesus Christ they are certainly not going to be willing to listen to someone telling them to listen to the Lord, just like now.

Mark 12:28,29 … "What commandment is the foremost of all?" Jesus answered, "The foremost is, Hear, O Isreal!...

Is 1:2 Listen, O heavens, and hear O earth; For the Lord speaks

Deut 13:4 You shall follow the Lord your god and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.

Deut 6:4 "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our god, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your might, These words, which I am commanding you today shall be on your heart.

With all that in the Scriptures and soo much more about us hearing from Him, who do we miss the fact that we are suppose to hear from the Lord? Maybe it is that snake in the garden whose words were "Did God really say?"

God really does say, and He speaks "Today". It is the snake who goes about cause us to doubt that!

God gave us the scriptures as a more sure word of prophecy. The Spirit quickened the word of scripture to every born again believer.
You are not hearing audible words from God.
If you believe you are...you are deluded.

Have you not read John 3:16?

For God so loved the world He gave us His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

So you are thinking that God gave us the Scriptures when the Scriptures say He gave us His Son.

Yet Jesus told some Jn 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

    Does that sound familiar?

Jesus also said Jn 5:46,47 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?

My friends - Jesus Christ is alive, not dead. And He said His sheep hear His voice, but some are thinking the Scriptures are His voice to them. The Scriptures was written by people who heard from Him and was there trying to get you to listen to Him like they did! But if you don't believe their writings how are you going to start listening to Him by faith?

Jn 6:29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent."

Jn 6:40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life

The Scriptures are constantly pointing people to Him, but some still do not seek Him but have put their faith in their understanding of the Scriptures instead of their beholding Him and believing in Him. So it was written that with their eyes they don't see and with their ears they don't hear. I tell you and testify that He is their for us. We find His words near us, in our heart and on our lips, but some say His words are the ink on pages. Of course God explained that would happen through Isaiah.

Is 28:12,13 He who said to them, "Here is rest, give rest to the weary", And "Here is repose," but they would not listen, So the word of the Lord to them will be, 'Order on order, order on order, Line on line, line on line, A a little here, a little there," That they may go and stumble backward, be broken, snared, and taken captive

If you don't listen to Him, then of course the word of God to you has to be the lines of text instead of His small voice, because you don't listen to Him. And that so you may go and stumble backward, be broken, snared, and be taken captive by the enemy. Then perhaps you will reconsider and start searching for the Son and put your faith in Him.

    "K2K,

[Have you not read John 3:16?

For God so loved the world He gave us His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.]

Yes I have read that verse.God gave His Son for everyone believing.

[So you are thinking that God gave us the Scriptures when the Scriptures say He gave us His Son.]

Well, newbie...this might be a newsflash, but have you considered that God has given us both, Jesus, and the scriptures.

[Yet Jesus told some Jn 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

    Does that sound familiar?]

Yes it is a familiar verse.

[Jesus also said Jn 5:46,47 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?]

You have never heard Jesus speak audibly. No one on earth has heard the audible voice of Jesus.

[My friends - Jesus Christ is alive, not dead. And He said His sheep hear His voice, but some are thinking the Scriptures are His voice to them.]

Certainly, He is alive, and He had the Apostles write scriptures for us.
We can know 100% what Jesus wants us to know.

[ The Scriptures was written by people who heard from Him and was there trying to get you to listen to Him like they did!]
Wrong, dead wrong. They were ordained to be with Him as eyewitnesses.

    mk3:14
14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils
    :

[But if you don't believe their writings how are you going to start listening to Him by faith?]

Christians do believe their writings;6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Isa28 is speaking of scripture. You totally misunderstand the verse.

You have somehow misread what I have been saying!!!

You might want to reread my posts, any of my posts. My position is exactly that God gave us His Son, like the Scriptures explain, so we need to seek Him and what He has to say to us. :)
