So I was reading through John 13 and when I reached verse 26 I realized something that never occurred to me. While I knew that this was Jesus exposing Judas as a traitor. I didn't fully understood the implications of the sop. The sop was given to the guest of honor as a sign of love. By doing this Jesus wasn't just exposing his love for Judas, and indicating him as a traitor. He did this by separating him from the rest of the group. A guest that wasn't apart of the party. I know the phrase "He gets sweeter everyday." but his savage words cut sharper every hour.
