Jerry Falwell Jr. has agreed to take “an indefinite leave of absence” from his role as president of Liberty University after the release of a viral photo that showed him vacationing on a yacht with his pants unzipped, holding a beverage, and with his arm around a woman.

I am speechless.
I believe he is a good guy, but how did they miss the voice of Wisdom? Even just a gut-feeling that this was a very bad idea? Bad idea... really bad idea...

The problem is legalism. He looks like a hypocrite because he requires students to be modest in their dress and to abstain from alcohol. Yet here he stands in a state of semi undress with his hand around the waist of a young woman similarly unclad.Yes that is provocative looking and not a good example of a so called moral man.

While the photo was in poor taste, the punitive nature of the reaction exposes a major problem within the evangelical world. Lack of forgiveness and desire to punish people is a huge Biblical error and one evangelicals need to correct. We're talking about one picture here, one which was intended as a joke between friends.

I'd dare say that the board knew about Jerry and did nothing but keep it quiet. (The longer it was kept quiet the better)

And when the story broke it was all over but the crying.

Public figures really can't get away with anything. Cameras are everywhere.
So many people start out well but are corrupted by the wealth and power. The non-stop whining and impossible to deal with Christian membership can have a serious toll on a person as well.

Power attracts the corruptible.

Power itself doesn't corrupt. But it definitely attracts those who are.

I don't believe it. Some like to add to when someone is being torn down.
