My catechumenate was hard too. However,
one priest told me to read the story of the New Russian Martyrs --
those who suffered and died under the communist yoke.
That really helped me. The miracles that were witnessed were awesome.
Many soldiers converted to Orthodoxy upon witnessing these miracles;
others had their faith restored. Our God is awesome.

Are you still going to be posting at CF or DC?

I will keep you in my prayers.
And it is awesome how suffering reminds us
to pray and to give thanks to God
for all His graces that He bestows on us.

There was this young Greek Orthodox Priest who was only 5 feet tall.
One day he went to the airport in his riassa sans cross because
Greek Orthodox Priests do not usually wear a pectoral cross.
A man approached and asked him, "Are you a Jewish Rabbi?"
The Priest responded, "No, I am Orthodox."
The man replied, "So, you are Jewish Orthodox?"
The Priest said, "No, I am Greek Orthodox."
The man questioned further, "So, do you Greeks still worship Zeus?"
