When Jer Sua came to faith in Christ in 2023 at the age of 64, he was already sick, and he died on May 23, 2025. Though it is customary in Lao culture for villagers to collect money to help the deceased's family, the village chief refused not only the collection but also denied him a burial plot in the cemetery.
