It is more of a question, then a prayer.

The "OT" covers this …….

Basically; if you die for your brother you have a great reward. If you die that you might exault your self .... not so much

With the Lord .... it is what is motivating you to do something and are you expecting something in return? We are to do things out of love and not expect anything in return.
