Pinterest is essentially click-bait. Needs to have an account before content can be viewed.

I am using Google Chrome extension "Google Search Filter" and added the following line to the configuration:

pinterest.com

That makes no matches from Pinterest.com show up in Google Search.

For Bing, I haven't gone to the same effort, you might find something on the web store. If you get stuck, let me know and I can write a script for you that works with the Custom JavaScript Plugin, no problem!

For Google, adding -site: pinterest.com as a search term should work ("-site" means "not from site"), but don't put the space after the ":"

I have been using ecosia for a while and I don't find Pinterest to be a problem. Takes a bit to adjust to the new algorithm, but it is working quite well as a search engine for me now.
