Isaac's birth from Sarah at 90 is a symbolic prophecy for the spiritual birth of a remnant in Israel through faith in Christ when the nation is 90 years old at the end of the tribulation in 2038. And this time-frame for the end of the tribulation is confirmed in several prophetic stories throughout the Bible.

    May 1948.png

At this point you may be thinking how can Isaac's birth from Sarah at 90 represent Israel's salvation in Christ in 2038? Where are the scriptures that illustrate and explain this end-time prophecy? Now that's a reasonable question that needs to be answered before this interpretation for Isaac's birth can be recognized and accepted.

In this article I will examine and discuss the related scriptures that reveal Isaac's birth when Sarah was 90 is a hidden prophecy for Israel's salvation at the end of the tribulation, and how the Lord opened my blinded eyes to recognize this deep and significant end-time prophecy.

Ecclesiastes 7:24 That which has been (in the past) is far off (and prophetic of the future), and deep (deeply hidden in the scriptures), very deep; who can find it out?

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.

    The 2,000 year gospel age
The story of Joseph who was in prison for “two whole years” after the cupbearer was set free on on the third day, reveals a timeline for the 2,000 year gospel age beginning from Jesus resurrection in 30 to 33 AD, that will be completed in 2030 to 2033, followed by 7 years of tribulation that will end in the 2037 to 2040 time-frame, Genesis 40:1-23, 41:1, 10-14.

    2,000 Joseph chart 1.png

If the tribulation ends in 2037 to 2040, the fig-tree generation that was born in 1948 when Israel became into a nation will be approximately 89 to 92 years old and will not completely pass away before Jesus returns at the end of the tribulation, Matthew 24:32-34.

After I recognized this possible time frame for the tribulation I was reading the story of Isaac's birth when a peculiar spontaneous question suddenly popped into my thoughts, is Isaac's birth from Sarah at 90 a prophecy for Israel's birth in Christ when the end-time nation is 90 years old in 2038?

Read the story of the shepherd's 99 sheep
When I had this curious thought I searched through the scriptures for the next several hours but I found nothing that would answer my question concerning Isaac's birth. The next morning as my eyes opened this quiet thought was given to me from the Lord, “read the story of the shepherd's 99 sheep.”

There have been several times during my waking moments in early morning hours when God has given me specific thoughts concerning the scriptures, so I knew it was important to read the parable of the 99 sheep even though I had no idea why the Lord put this story into my waking thoughts.

As I was reading this parable I recognized the numbers 99 and 100 that are only mentioned in one other story in the Bible, the birth of Isaac from Abraham at 100 and Sarah at 90, Genesis 17:17, 21, 24.

The common numbers of 99 and 100 that connects the story of Isaac's birth to the shepherd's flock of 100 sheep is not a meaningless coincidence, but a divine clue that reveals these two stories are two pieces of a prophetic puzzle.

In the scriptures Jesus spoke to his audience in parables, then in a related scripture that's connected by similar words, phrases or numbers, he explained the meaning of his parables to those who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, Matthew 13:35-36.

And I believe this is why the story of the shepherd's 99 sheep was placed into my waking thoughts, since God was revealing the next step for understanding the mysterious prophecy that's concealed in the story of Isaac's birth when Sarah was 90 and Abraham was 100.

    99, 100 and 90
In the story of Isaac's birth there are three important numbers that are mentioned, 99, 100 and 90. As I said the numbers 99 and 100 that connects the story of Isaac's birth to the shepherd's flock of 100 sheep is not a meaningless coincidence, but a divine clue that reveals these stories are related to one another.

Immediately following the shepherd's flock of 100 sheep is a similar parable of a woman's 10 silver coins, she had 9 coins and searched her house with a lamp for 1 coin that was lost.

Although I did not fully understand the story of the shepherd's 100 sheep or the woman who had 9 coins and 1 that was lost, I knew these two parables held the key to revealing the prophetic meaning of Isaac's birth when Abraham was 100 and Sarah was 90. With this in mind let's take another look at these two parables.

    The shepherd's 100 sheep
Luke 15:4-7 "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? (5) And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. (6) And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.' (7) Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

The shepherd's 1 lost sheep in this story clearly represents a lost sinner that needs to be born-again in the righteousness of Christ. However could there be a deeper meaning that's hidden within this parable?

    Lost sheep.png

Take the message of the Kingdom to lost sheep of the house of Israel
In Matthew 10:5-7, Jesus told his disciples not to take the message of the kingdom to the Gentiles or the Samaritans, but rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Therefore the one lost sheep that the shepherd is searching for to complete his flock of 100 righteous sheep is symbolic for the lost sheep of Israel.

Jeremiah 50:6 "My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray, turning them away on the mountains.

So what do the shepherd's 99 righteous sheep represent?

In Romans 11:25-26 it says, when the fullness of the Gentiles have come into the Kingdom of God, the partial hardening of Israel's hearts will end when Jesus the good shepherd (John 10:11) will begin to reveal himself to the lost sheep of Israel and in this way all Israel will be saved, Matthew 15:24, Psalms 119:176.

The scriptures in Romans 11:25-26, reveal the shepherd's 99 righteous sheep are symbolic for the fullness of Gentile believers that will and come into God's kingdom first (John 10:16, Revelation 6:10-11), and after this Jesus the good Shepherd will begin to reveal himself to the 12 tribes of 12,000 who will share the gospel in Israel, Revelation 7:1-8. And in this way Abraham's offspring, the lost sheep of Israel, will be born-again by faith and brought into an everlasting covenant with God at the end of the tribulation, Genesis 17:7, 19, Exodus 20:37.

When will God's everlasting covenant with Abraham's offspring be complete?
Just as God's promise was not complete until Isaac was born when Abraham was 100, God's everlasting covenant promise with Abraham's offspring will not be complete until Jesus the good shepherd finds his 100th lost sheep when a remnant of Israel is born-again, Jeremiah 50:19-20.

    The number 10 represents completeness
The number 10 in the Bible represents completeness. The 10 commandments is a summary of the complete law of God. The 10 days of the Feast of Trumpets that has 100 trumpet blasts is prophetic for God's complete tribulation judgment of unbelieving mankind and the salvation of Israel. And the shepherd's flock of 100 sheep represents all who will be saved that will complete God's Kingdom of righteous saints, Jews and Gentiles, Romans 10:11-13, Matthew 12:18, Galatians 3:8.

The children of promise like Isaac are born-again through faith
Abraham at the age of 100 when his promised son Isaac was born by faith (Romans 4:16, 19-22) is symbolic for when Jesus the good shepherd finds his 100th lost sheep, the promised sons of Israel that will be born-again by faith at the end of the tribulation.

Galatians 3:6-7 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness"? (7) Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham (like Isaac).

Galatians 4:28 Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise (born-again through faith in Jesus).

Romans 9:6-8 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, (7) and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but "Through Isaac shall your offspring be named." (8) This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.

Those who are born-again in Israel through faith in Jesus are the true sons of Abraham, the children of promise like Isaac. Therefore Isaac's miraculous birth by faith represents those who are born-again in Israel through faith.

Brother, the birth of Isaac was a fulfillment of prophecy when Abraham and his first wife were promised a child. They didn't know that it would be many years before the prophecy was fulfilled. The prophecies in the books of Daniel & Revelation are the main prophetic books. What is the tribulation you are referring too?

I've made bold your line above because that's where you've lost me where you said, "and how the Lord opened my blinded eyes to recognize this deep and significant end-time prophecy." That's a statement of absolutes in other words how can anyone question it? They can't. I mean God showed this to you, you say. If you said I sincerely believe God did BUT check it and weigh it with the word of God before accepting it that'd be fine. But sorry you leave the impression that anyone who puts a question mark on your doctrine....well they're just wrong. Why? Because God showed it to you. I think all readers should take that with a grain of salt in other words don't take what you've said too seriously.

Now to the substance of your arguments.....no sorry.....I think you're trying to build doctrines way, way, too much on numbers in the Bible in such a way that's not warranted.

And again I think we have a right to ask the question were these thoughts genuinely from the Lord. Um sorry....can't see anything you're saying makes sense. I don't doubt your sincerity but I tend to think this all has originated from your own thinking.

Isaac's promised birth by God is a dual prophecy. It was physically fulfilled when Isaac was born when Sarah was 90. And it will be spiritually fulfilled when the promised sons like Isaac are born-again in Christ when the barren end-time nation of Israel is 90 at the end of the tribulation.

Jeremiah 30:6-7 Ask now, and see, can a man bear a child? Why then do I see every man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor? Why has every face turned pale? (7) Alas! That day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; yet he shall be saved out of it.

Galatians 4:27-28 For it is written, "Rejoice, O barren one (Israel) who does not bear; break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than those of the one who has a husband." (28) Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise.

The 7 years of harvest and 7 years of famine when Joseph ruled in Egypt is another dual prophecy for a 7 year end time harvest of saints and 7 years of tribulation. The 10 plagues in Egypt during the 7 years of famine are repeated in the book of Revelation which is another example of dual prophecy that will be fulfilled in the tribulation.

If Isaac's birth when Sarah was 90 is a dual prophecy from the Lord that's symbolic for Israel's birth in Christ when the end-time nation of Israel is 90 then it will happen.

However if this prophetic interpretation for Isaac's birth is from man's incorrect human reasoning then it won't happen. And that is the test to know if a prophecy is truly from the Lord.

Thank You for making this doctrine more clear. It is the first time I hear of the doctrine of dual prophecy. I know the Holy Bible has types, anti-types (Typology), and shadows, an example being Isaac who was told to be offered as a sacrifice Abraham son of promise, a type of the Saviour who was sacrificed for the sins of the whole world.

In my view, the prophecies relating to the end-time are all in Revelation and Daniel, but I do know that similarities that happened in the past will be repeated again

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:37-39

I only want to make it clear that I am writing this post with the intent of being polite & truthful to my knowledge, I am not of the disposition of striving, but only interested in writing what I believe is true. In my view, Isreal as a nation is not involved in any of the prophecies of the end-time. The 70 week prophecy was the prophecy for Isreal to finish their transgression and to accept the Messiah when He shall start His ministry, One Week.

Daniel 9:24-27 "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

As the Holy Bible and secular history shows, that Isreal as a nation did not accept the Messiah and because of this, the nation was finally rejected in being the specially chosen people of GOD. In Ezekial 4:6 " I have appointed you a day for a year" this is a prophetic principle, that prophecy that is given in days, months it is to be interpreted as a year, so One week means 7 years, at the half of the 7 years (3 1/2 Years) the Saviour was crucified, and the other half the apostles and disciples continued to witness to the Jewish people first until as is shown below

ACTS 13:46 “Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles."

    Sincerely.

    Hi Cordell,

If Israel was forever rejected by God as his chosen people in approximately 70 AD, then why is the Lord gathering his chosen people a second time from the four corners of the earth to bring them back to the land of Israel?

Isaiah 11:10-12 In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples--of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious. (11) In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea. (12) He will raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

In Zechariah 14, when all the nations are gathered against Jerusalem the Lord will stand on the Mount of Olives and Israel will flee to the valley of mountains. And the Lord will be King over all the earth and Jerusalem shall dwell in security.

To me it appears these prophecies for the people of Israel who have returned to their land a second time in 1948 will be completely fulfilled when Jesus returns to be King over all the earth when Jerusalem shall dwell in security. Again these prophecies never happened for Israel in 70 AD.

Zechariah 14:2-11 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. (3) Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. (4) On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. (5) And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him. (6) On that day there shall be no light, cold, or frost. (7) And there shall be a unique day, which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light. (8) On that day living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea. It shall continue in summer as in winter. (9) And the LORD will be king over all the earth. On that day the LORD will be one and his name one. (10) The whole land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem shall remain aloft on its site from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's winepresses. (11) And it shall be inhabited, for there shall never again be a decree of utter destruction. Jerusalem shall dwell in security.

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
