The original Gospel of the Kingdom, which Jesus had taught, was seen as offensive to the world. It got Jesus killed by those of authority who were threatened by it. A Gentile church which was created and soon operated in tandem with the world of man, certainly could not use a Gospel that threatened the very Roman authority that desired to use that church, first to win a war, next conveniently to head the scattered churches. But consider what was lost when the religion broadsided Jesus and the Kingdom and rejoined the world of man seeking power, contrary to what Jesus and the Kingdom represented. This is why the truth is in the scriptures and not the religion. As a result the religion could not teach a gospel that condemned their actions, but moved in other directions. Fortunately there are two schools of thought in Christianity, those of the Kingdom and those of the world of man (the majority)
