Certainly not ALL of modern music is evil. However, have you ever stopped and really listened to what much of today's rock music is actually saying?

If you listen closely, you will definitely notice a common thread through the music of hundreds of different popular artists.

The common thread goes beyond the promotion of drugs, sex and sin.....in much of today's music there is a common theme of turning people away from God and His laws and of turning people to Lucifer (Satan).

Did you know that Marilyn Manson is very open about wanting to destroy Christianity?:

"Hopefully, I’ll be remembered as the person who brought an end to Christianity." (Spin, August 1996, p. 34)

Did you know that the rock group Black Sabbath has actually given invitations during their concerts for people to receive Satan into their lives?

In their song N.I.B. (Nativity In Black), which is in reality a love song from Lucifer, Lucifer invites people to "please take my hand":

"Some people say MY LOVE cannot be true
Please believe me, MY LOVE, and I'll show you
I will give you those things you thought unreal . . .
YOUR LOVE FOR ME has just got to be real . . .
Look into my eyes, you will see who I am
MY NAME IS LUCIFER, PLEASE TAKE MY HAND!"

And these examples are far from being isolated in the world of rock music. If you are not totally convinced that much of today's rock music is Satanic, there are more quotes and some mind blowing google videos about the wickedness of rock music over here:

I heard if you play Vince Gill's "Go Rest High on That Mountain" sideways and backwards simultaneously you'll here an eerie voice telling you to win 850 tickets playing Skee-Ball at Chuck E. Cheese's. Creepy stuff.

eh, I wouldnt worry too much.

Music is older than religion; if anything, music would've prevented religion from existing a long time ago if it wanted to. heh. =P

Rock and roll hasn't changed much, however; you think its all sex and drugs now, but really, Johnny Cash, Elvis, the Beatles and Rolling Stones pioneered that journey a long time ago.

The end of the world didn't come when the Beatles sang Lucy in the Sky....

Being a man of wealth and taste I know better!

Seriously I remember hearing a sermon where the minister took a shot at 'Stairway to Heaven'. He was too lazy or stupid to have actually listened to the song and realized the line he was criticising was anything but straight!

The line he picked?

'and she's buying the stairway to heaven'!

He treated it as if the song were saying this. Anything but of course. And how could anyone miss it with the previous lines being.

'There's a lady who knows all that glitters is gold'

Oh well. Things are not so much fun anymore. Too easy to confuse you. What use is a game if it is too easy?

eh, I wouldnt worry too much.

Much like the racism which pervades popular opinion of black music ("There is a group of black men making shouty music, and I think I heard one of them say "gun" - they must be dangerous hooligans!"), there's an insistence on the part of certain conservative Christians on finding "satanic" messages in all sorts of popular music ("He's wearing black and he mentioned Satan - he must be encouraging dabbling with the occult!") where really the precise opposite is true. The Black Sabbath lyrics quoted in the OP are satirical. They are about teenage rebellion and are designed to shock; they are not really about devil-worship. Sure, you may not like the message that you can, if you want, choose not to be a Christian like your parents, but it is really pushing it to try to argue that Black Sabbath wished to encourage young people to engage in any particular religious practices, satanic or otherwise.

Ahhh! yes rock and roll music.... Lets go back to the 60's
Very innocent don't ya think?

Please allow me to introduce myself
Im a man of wealth and taste
Ive been around for a long, long year
Stole many a mans soul and faith
And I was round when jesus christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But whats puzzling you
Is the nature of my game
I stuck around st. petersburg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain
I rode a tank
Held a generals rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, whats puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah
I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made
I shouted out,
Who killed the kennedys?
When after all
It was you and me
Let me please introduce myself
Im a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reached bombay
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But whats puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But whats confusing you
Is just the nature of my game
Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me lucifer
cause Im in need of some restraint
So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or Ill lay your soul to waste, um yeah
Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But whats puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um mean it, get down
Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!
Tell me baby, whats my name
Tell me honey, can ya guess my name
Tell me baby, whats my name
I tell you one time, youre to blame
Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Oh, yeah
Whats me name
Tell me, baby, whats my name
Tell me, sweetie, whats my name
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Oh, yeah

Love The Rolling Stones :)

Wherever you look there is always a message in every generation, not just this era.

I'm unsure why people get so upset by a song that sings about Satan, thinking that it brings people into "Satan's Kingdom." I was told as a kid that everyone who bought a KISS album, Knights In Satanic Service, would have a demon in their house because the record was blessed at a Satanic Altar. I knew people who had it. No demon, nor did they start worshipping Satan. They knew that other kids thought it was cool, their parents hated it, and thus, popularity.

Unfortunately, Christian Rock is under far too many restrictions. It sings basically about how great God is, or Jesus sacrifice, but doesn't dare venture into anything else. Where is the Love, by the Black Eyed Peas, for example, points out that there is terrorism abroad, but also within our government with the CIA and killing of children during war time, as well as gangs and the KKK, speaks about how people are only focused on money making, how children immitate the images they see in the media which for people of color is often negative. They ask "Where is the Love", even sing, "Father, Father, Father help us, we need some guidance from above..."

It isn't sugar coated. It's speaks people's language. It doesn't turn a blind eye to injustice and serious social crisis, and simply sing, "Praise the Lord." It doesn't fear rejection by conservatives in its clear anti-war undertones, its condemnation for government hypocracy and practices. That is why people respond to it.

Lucifer was an angel of music, so it's obvious that he'd use music to brainwash humans. The irony of Lucifer using music to distract people from God however is his pride. Remember, Lucifer believe he would be like most high, you don't think he wouldn't brag in music to mock us all in being ignorant fools... In a lot of music you can hear Lucifer's voice and what he thinks (not his voice literally, but lyrically.)

I'll give a couple examples, you can tell by the lyrics we are approaching dawn on the third day, lucifer knows his time is sooooo close to being up! Take note the lyrics from these songs aren't all supportive, but the messages are definitely evident.
Also, several examples are from Linkin Park's new album, "Minutes to Midnight", in my opinion I believe this "Midnight" is the end of day 2 and the beginning of day 3 and I firmly believe we are "minutes" away from this time.

Here are a few prime examples(I could make a list of many songs that accurately portray what's going on in the spiritual world, but you'll get my point quickly):

Creed-One last Breath
______________________
Please come now I think I'm falling
I'm holding to all I think is safe
It seems I found the road to nowhere
And I'm trying to escape
I yelled back when I heard thunder
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say
Let me say

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
That maybe six feet
Ain't so far down

[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']Linkin Park-What I’ve Done
In this farewell,
There’s no blood,
There’s no alibi.
‘Cause I’ve drawn regret,
From the truth,
Of a thousand lies.

So let mercy come,
And wash away…

What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I've done.

Put to rest,
What you thought of me.
While I clean this slate,
With the hands,
Of uncertainty.

So let mercy come,
And wash away…

What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I've done.

[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']Linkin Park-No More Sorrow (God telling Satan off!)
[FONT='Times New Roman','serif']Are you lost, In your lies?
Do you tell yourself, I don't realize?
Your crusades, A disguise.
You replaced freedom with fear,
You trade money for lives.

I'm aware of what you've done.

No, No More Sorrow.
I've paid for your mistakes.
Your time is borrowed.
Your time has come to be replaced.

I see pain, I see need.
I see liars and thieves,
Abuse power with greed.
I had hope, I believed.
But I'm beginning to think that I've been deceived.

You will pay for what you've done.

No, No More Sorrow.
I've paid for your mistakes.
Your time is borrowed.
Your time has come to be replaced.

Let me apologize to begin with,
Let me apologize for what I’m about to say,
But trying to be genuine was harder than it seemed,
But somehow I got caught up in between.

Let me apologize to begin with,
Let me apologize for what I’m about to say,
But trying to be someone else was harder than it seemed,
But somehow I got caught up in between.

Between my pride and my promise,
Between my lies and how the truth gets in the way,
The things I want to say to you get lost before they come,
The only thing that’s worse than one is none.

Let me apologize to begin with,
Let me apologize for what I’m about to say,
But trying to regain your trust was harder than it seemed,
But somehow I got caught up in between.
