Is it wrong to ask for prayer requests?

you can PM me if you need prayer. Heck everyone needs prayer. Pray and believe your prayers are answered. It's not the quantity of others praying it;s the faith in the praying and a lot of times you and I both need that.

Prayer requests are GREAT ... an excellent thing to do!
Especially when you are asking sincere friends, or Christians who are real "prayer warriors". The problem for most of us ... is that we don't pray enough. Ahhhhh - those busy lives.

It's definitely not wrong.
It's a very good thing. :)

If you ask and lots of people pray then God will experience more requests for help and he may be inclined to give it. The Bible compares it to a widow banging on a judges door demanding justice.

That is nonsense.

God isn't moved by people whining or getting a bunch of your friends to pray for you.

God is Almighty and is in heaven.

There are a few things that move Him, such as faith, but having a bunch of people praying for you guarantees nothing in itself.

The list of cases showing group prayers are powerful, even in the bible we see many times when prayer moved the hand of God, even Jesus says where two or more are gathered in my name "there I am also", If thats not moving the Hand of God I don't know what is, or how about Jesus speaking of the persistance in prayer gets results Luke 11:1-13 or Luke 18........If one widow is constantly persistant in prayer can you imagine a whole bunch of people praying the same thing, all through the bible we hear God hearing the prayers of His people, especially when they are all about the same thing. how about when Peter was in prison and a group of people were praying for his release BAM! Peter gets an angelic visitation and set free! prayer in groups is POWERFUL!:groupray::groupray::groupray::groupray:

I've seen groups pray and have the exact opposite happen. The bible says a lot of things.

What an absurdly false statement. The Bible states many times that the more people in prayer, the more the presence of God.

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20

Please, stop with your baseless post. You are a troll. The power of prayer is amazing.

By having faith in the ability of God to do something, and asking someone ELSE to have faith, via prayer, you are praising and exalting God. God loves this.

It doesn't say that if you have a bunch of people mouthing prayers that does anything.

I believe you are in fact the troll.

you haven't a clue what the bible says, and when people point it out, and respond with scripture to the complete opposite of your statement, you simply reply "the bible says alot of things" my guess is your about 15 yrs old, and are really bored, and found your way here, and are just putting up mindless post for laughs........have fun:p

You mistake "judging" and rebuking and correction. I explained it in another thread and all you had to say was "I disagree".

I disagree because you are wrong.

Moreover, I asked you who you claim to be that you have any authority over me to correct me. You are nobody as far as I am concerned.

You just said in another thread that you can't have a personal relationship with God because you can't see how someone can have a relationship with someone who wants you to fear and dread them.

I'm sorry, but I don't give much credibility to anything you say anymore.

What Matthew 18:20 may mean something entirely different

Where Two or Three Are Gathered (Matthew 18:20) « Kingdom Living

I've always wondered about this myself.

Bible Verses About Prayer: 20 Important Scripture Quotes

One example of asking another to pray:

James 5:13-14 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

Praying for one another:

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Actually you have judged yourself, by your responses, you have shown yourself not to have any biblical truth or knowledge in you what so ever, so quite honestly even the youngest of school children with the smallest amount of bible story knowledge would be put in authority over you, spiritually speaking.
