I am 18 but a senior in high school. I need to get out of the house where I live with my mother and step father. Life there is an unbearable burden. - so much I can not describe.

I am not smart or have any skills but I need to leave so badly. I know I can make good money working as a stripper. Is it really wrong to do this to escape the hell that is my life with my step father and step brother? I need enough money to move out of the life they have subjected me to, it is more than I can bear.

Will God forgive me doing this sinful thing? Surely there must br mercy for someone like me??

Please help me I don't know what to do.

Yeah, don't be a stripper. That's a horrible idea. If you are unsafe in your present home, are there people you can reach out to for support and help getting a good job, and an apartment? This may sound silly, but I work at Walmart. They pay quite well, and will hire entry level workers with little experience or skills. They take good care of us, and can work with you on scheduling.

Even if it's not a sin, the problem with stripper is getting involved with gangs and organized crime structure. It would be very dangerous to deal with them, not to mention, very difficult to get out of.

Maybe you know someone in your local church who could offer you cheap space in their home and you can still do part time or full time work in the mall or grocery while continuing with your studies at the same time.

Don't be afraid to approach someone in your church that you trust will not do any harm to you. You do have an advantage of being a girl and people are much more likely to trust and help a girl than a man.

Have you talk to your school advisor about those issues? I had problems with my dad and stepmother when I was in school, those advisors were really helpful.

Hey fellow sister, am sorry about your state of affairs. Please don't even consider stripping or doing anything that is sinful to survive.
''I know I can make good money working as a stripper. '' You don't want to be enslaved to your passion especially one that's dishonorable. We start with ideas, then they become thoughts and lastly passion for us to act upon. Romans 1:21-24 warns us of this enslavement and the end of it all.

It is a fearful thing for you to be unrestrained by God in sin. Be careful what you think upon for it may become action and lead you to fall.

Feelings are not God. Usually, when we harbor sinful feelings or ungodly ideas, they seem morally superior. Self-justification drives these ideas and the devil whispers, 'it's okay to do this.'

The Word of God is a guide for us in all situations, good or bad.
Why you should be cautious and tremble before God:
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.

Prov 14:14 The backslider in heart will have his fill of his own ways,
But a good man will be satisfied with his.
Stripping for money seems like the right way but you don't really want to reap the fruits of it (death).

    Why you shouldn't sin willfully:
Hebrews 4:13 -all things are naked and open to the eyes of |Him to whom we MUST GIVE ACCOUNT.
Hebrews 10:26-27 'For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgement, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.'
Romans 6:1-2 We are dead to sin and should walk in newness of life. Vs 12-Do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lust.

If there is truly a vestige of submission to the Lordship of Jesus in you, perhaps you will see that your thoughts are leading you to serve a god of self not the Almighty.

Please reach out to your local church for help or fellow believers in your fellowship group. If you have none of these, trust God to direct your steps to goodness and deliverance. It may seem like a long time, but Joy comes in the morning. Now would be a great time for you to engage more in gathering together with other believers to uphold your faith (Hebrews 10;23-26).
Above all, stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might knowing that He has inclined His ear to you, so call on Him while you live (psalms 116:2). There is nothing that happens to the children of God by accident, it is all part of God's plan for your life and should you keep the faith, you will live to testify of His goodness!
I want you to know that you may be considered 'not smart' by the world but you have the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16) and it's a honorable thing to ask for wisdom as James puts it.God will use what you have. So ask for wisdom, knowledge, confidence, strength, patience etc. God answers prayer!

I love you my little sister and am praying for you.

What can I do? I am fearful of my stepfather, I believe he means to make me his in the flesh and i can't bear this thought. I must leave or this will happen, I'm not allowed to lock my door. How can I make it on my own when everything costs money? Minimum wage is not enough. Won't God understand why I must do this? Isn't his mercy great enough to forgive this transgression?

I do not seek to sin, but I know this will give me the meams to escape what I face at home. My mother will not stand against my step father, she depends upon him earning a living, but I know if I remain I will fall. I am not smart, I struggle with even the basics of my education.

Am sorry that you are between a rock and hard place. What you express above is fear of your step-dad and what he might do to you (even i would be scared). However if your fear is pure, you would be more far more afraid of stripping for they are fundamentally the same. Stripping is dancing naked before men and having them molest you for money with compromised will. You don't solve evil with evil. You were bought at a costly price -the blood of Jesus. God willnot understand you for choosing evil over trusting Him. The bible says perfect love casts out fear. Where fear is, there is a lack of faith. The only way we please God is by having Faith in Him and that He will reward us when we DILLIGENTLY seek him (Heb 11:6).
Have you tried looking for a job at any store near you or any voluntary organization in exchange for food and shelter? Am not in The U.S so i may not be able to recommend places to go but stripping is not your portion. Don't give into the lies of the world. You will definitely regret it. Cry out to Abba father and waiver not.

Just a question; Where have you sought help before on this matter?Do you have a local church you could run to?

Personable skills are very useful as a receptionist. You can also learn all about a business as a receptionist and eventually start your own business. Owning a business can be extremely lucrative and selling businesses creates more millionaires than any other method. I know a hair stylist who is expanding her "old fashioned" barber shop she owns.

Well, you badly need to learn some skills.

This is not the road to happiness. Stripping is a road that only leads downhill.

I am not sure if I understand your idea...

You think that to be defiled by dozens or hundreds of men is a solution to a possibility that your stepfather will defile you in the future...?

I am not from the USA but I am sure that in this developed and Christian country there are some clean ways of taking care of yourself. If your own endeavor will not give you some minimal appartment and food, then state or church may help you with that. Have you talked to your pastor, to a charity or to some social worker? I am pretty sure that there is some Christian family with one room to spare.

As somebody here said, because you are a young and pretty girl, many people will try to help you, so its easier for you.

On the other hand, because you are a young and pretty girl, many peopley will try to get advantage of it (and to get something for the help), so be careful, too. And do not expect to be a dancer and to stay undefiled.

Your highest priority now is food and shelter until you find a better job. There is much more you can do with your life without compromising your walk with Christ. If you are truly born again, listen to the voice of God and read His word. I live in a country where people are living on less than a dollar per day and they still hold fast their confession of faith in Christ. Are wordly gains better than your eternal soul; what will it profit you to gain the whole world and lose your soul?
You are young and probably inexperienced with the ups and downs of life to a greater degree but God is always by our side.

Don't mind the min wage, work hard at it, life is hard. And the experience you can gain from work can be very valuable for you later on you may use for starting a business as @SkyWriting mentioned.

I have also worked as min wage as a clerk for many years. Recently, I started a small business and all the skills I learned as a clerk I was able to use in the business. Now I'm earning a bit more than I did before and work is even easier.

Right now, try looking for someone (preferrably, someone you trust and you know personally) who will give you space and time for you to find a job and then rent the place to you cheaply. This will make min wage option much easier.

Ask yourself this, if you work a regular job and go through life honestly, do you really believe God will leave you hanging?

Go through life doing honest work and living a moral life. God will take care of the rest.

If you choose to strip, escort, etc. you will be setting yourself up for a world of hurt. It's a dark world, take this from a person whose seen the darker side of life.

Make the right choices and let God do the rest.

I've ran into a few strippers in my life. Back when I was really wretched and running with the Devil.

If we add up all the things that happen in a strip joint they would not be something we would want to present to God.

*Hugs* I'm sorry you're in such a stressful predicament. Job Corps is a government program that offers free-of-charge education and vocational training to people between the ages of 16 and 24. It could be an option for you. :) College isn't the only pathway to success. I bet you are smart, and you are capable of learning skills for a vocation that is going to be more fulfilling and lasting than becoming a stripper.

    Home | Job Corps

If you are in immediate harm, please talk with a teacher or guidance counselor at school. Now that you're 18 it may actually be less complicated, not more, to talk with them than when you were a minor and they were mandated by law to report any abuse. There are still resources available for teens in HS who are now legal adults.

I actually know a few women who used to be strippers because they teach some of the vertical dance classes I take for exercise and fun. Vertical dance is using the same apparatus as what strippers use, a pole. But the context and attitude are entirely different, it's closer in tone to the pole routine in gymnastics than pole dancing. My classes are only for women, and don't involve any stripping. It's not about earning money from men, but gaining strength for yourself. It's an incredibly difficult upper body workout. You definitely need skills for it, and they involve a lot of bruises and calloused hands to learn them. I look like a leopard because of so many bruises. The women who teach it used to be pole dancers, strippers. It was disempowering. They were disrespected, degraded in horrible ways and in small ones that added up. They limited themselves because it's not a job that you can transition into other occupations, hence the reason they are teaching the classes. It's not something that is an asset on your resume for virtually any other job. They teach because it's empowering, they're helping women to build confidence, whereas stripping strips it away.
