    Last night I had a dream and I'm not sure what it meant.
    I was in a creek about waist deep walking up stream then all of a sudden this ball of water raises up out of the water and it's spinning and of course I was scared but before I could even blink the ball of water was hurled at my by an unknown source and it hits me and breaks apart but I fill something hit me and inter inside my body with force .( It didn't go threw me ) and as I feel it going threw out my body then i am paralyzed and I sink into the creek and I wake up. Any thoughts on that? I have been baptized but not with the holy spirit as far as I know . But when I felt it hit my body it felt so real but I knew I was dreaming. if it's Good talking to me I really would like to know what it means. And to know if it is God speaking to me thru my dreams because that's super exciting to me. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this and any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

    Now that you are awake, do you find yourself gifted with the gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in 1 Corinthians 12?

    Just what have been the results of that dream, now that you are awake?

    I had a similar dream where I was running down a mountain that had massive rocks. One of them was the size of a house. It started falling towards me, so I ran down this mountain, but tripped and fell backwards into a crystal clear pool of water. My body was perfectly flat, fully submerged, and with open eyes I seen through the clear ripples of water, the growing shadow of this giant rock closing in.
    When it fell...everything went black. I felt incredible peace within me.
    You could relate this verse to Jesus' teaching: "He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed."
    Baptism and getting crushed by Jesus, 2 in 1 dream? I don't believe so.

    I would say, no yours wasn't a baptism.

    Dreams can be from God, but also from evil. Sometimes they are meaningless. Dreams can result from overthinking about one particular thing.
    Also, this seems like a forced baptism, which the Bible doesn't teach.

    Typically dreams and the physical can be interlaced, where you experience what you dream to what you feel in the physical. So paralyzation in the dream would be a normal sleep paralysis. I assume this dream was in the early morning.

    hmm no idea what it means but the waist deep caught my attention because of the reference to Ezekiel and Isaiah because of the gentle flowing waters that didn’t correspond with the dream but more to the river...

    Again he measured a thousand cubits and led me through waist-deep water. Once again he measured off a thousand cubits, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough for swimming—a river that could not be crossed on foot.…Ezekiel 47:4-5

    “Inasmuch as these people have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah
    And rejoice in Rezin and the son of Remaliah;
    “Now therefore, behold, the Lord is about to bring on them the strong and abundant waters of the Euphrates,
    Even the king of Assyria and all his glory;
    And it will rise up over all its channels and go over all its banks.
    “Then it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass through,
    It will reach even to the neck;
    And the spread of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel…. Isaiah 8:6-8

    Does that strike any truth (belt of truth) in your life ;(

    That sounds more like the fight between voldemort and dumbledor in Harry Potter. So first I would wonder if you had watched that episode.

    My first thought is that God would never impose something on you without your full knowledge, free will and choice so while I believe the dream may represent a desire you have deep within your spirit or God trying to lay baptism of His Holy Spirit upon your heart through a dream I don't believe you received this gift in a dream. He requires us to choose and to receive and that involves our will and consent.

    If at any waking moment that you've thought about being baptized by the Holy Spirit.. then the dream is the result. The content shows you as far as you might think it would be like.
    For the most part dreams show us what we'd been focusing on, experiencing or thinking of during our waking hours. Dreams also show you what you might not have been consciously aware of too.

    When the baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs He does not enter you from outside of you with force, because the Holy Spirit is already inside you by virtue of the new birth.

    If you felt nothing then, you'll feel nothing in the baptism for operating in the gifts of the Spirit. Remember how the Spirit came upon Jesus as a dove? Those birds are not forceful creatures.

    Any feeling that you might initially experience will be joy, but that would be entirely you.

    The first result of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues, as evidenced by every occasion throughout the book of Acts when someone received.

    Perhaps more study of the Bible regarding the topic would be helpful to you.

    Thank you for your responce. When I imagined being baptized in the holy spirit I imagined it would feel kind of like that. When I said by force it wasnvpike forced apon me but I could feel whatever it was entering my body and that's what I kind of imagined. But I really don't feel any different and I dont know if there is some kind of action I need to take in order be able to use the gift given if I was baptized. I haven't spoken in tongues yet either. I'm anxious for the holy spirit . I study daily and watch my local preaching channel soaking up all I can. But anyway thank you for responding. I appreciate it. I love learning about God I'm sorta addicted. I've learned a lot in the last year. Gods love for us is beyond words and Jesus is our sweetest friend. It's a whole new world knowing that.

    I am very willing to receive the holy spirit. I prayed to receive it but feel no difference. Some ppl say they feel different and I've heard others say they don't and they have to practice speaking in tongues and their prayer langue. So I'm just not sure.
