Just a thought. But, I'd hope they'd find someone better. John Kerry or Joe Biden seem to be much better candidates who could challenge Trump (although, I expect him to win again). No point in throwing money at a losing hand.

The Clinton-style Third Way also never really excited the democratic base. I am a lifelong Democrat but I actually never voted for Clinton. Clinton alienated alot of folks on the left, his strategy was to go for the middle, and even some conservatives, at the expense of traditional Democrat interests.
