Exactly, lucaspa, you don't understand scripture at all!!! I won't tell you why you don't, and I'll never under any circumstances back up that claim with anything of substance, but it's true cuz I say so. I'll just stick to blustering, it takes much less effort.

I'm curious how Moses wrote about his own death.

The simple answer is that although God revealed the Law to Moses, it wasn't written down (at least most of it) and combined into the five books we know until much later.

Then educate me. Denial isn't convincing. You have to have data and arguments to back up that denial.

Now, Paul was not writing about creationists, since modern day creationism wasn't invented until the 1930s and really got its start in 1968. You posted the passage thinking that it applied to evolution. However, I have shown that creationism fits the passage. So far you have done nothing to show anything different.

All you've been is emotionally hurt to find out creationists aren't the good guys, but the bad guys. It's just too bad your feelings are hurt. Creationism is heresy and apostasy. Don't like it? Then join Christianity in giving up creationism.

FoC, in the 1982 MacLean vs Arkansas case against teaching YEC in public schools, do you know who the plaintiffs (those against creationism) were? Not scientists, not atheists. Of the 26 plaintiffs, 23 were ministers or rabbis. MacLean was Reverend MacLean of the Presbyterian Church. The remaining 3 were educators and Christians all.

"Hawaii board of ed votes not to change science standards and not to teach creationism.

"As a pastor, I don't want your teachers teaching my kids about religion," the Rev. Mike Young said."Creationism and the flat Earth is not good science, and it's not very good theology," the Rev. Sam Cox said."

LOL!!

one day we'll all be standing before Him.
I wonder how you''ll fair after telling Him He lied in His account of His creation(among other things)

Hopefully, He wont hold ignorance against you as you dont seem to know the truth.

For creationists sake I hope He won't hold it against them...

It is the Creationists that make God to be a liar by claiming that God's creation itself is lying to us about how old it is and how it was made.

It is Creationists that put the Bible and human understanding above God.

Please tell me IS the word ''day'' used?
Can this word ''yom'' be defined as meaning a 24 hour day in any way?
Is that used in that manner in Genesis 1?

We'll see who says He is lying....

FoC, you are getting very confused. It is you trying to tell God that He lied in Creation.

We're not saying God lied in His account of His creation. Instead, God told you the truth of the who and the why of creation. "God created the heavens and the earth". God also told you the truth that all the Babylonian gods are really created objects, not gods. God also told you the truth that He did not create human beings to be His servants or playthings (in contrast to the Babylonian story) but for your own sakes.

We're saying your interpretation of God's account of creation is a lie. But God didn't lie. You did.

And perhaps God will show mercy and not hold your pride against you.

Isn't the word "beyom" used in Genesis 2:4b? Doesn't that mean "in the day"? So the Bible says in Genesis 1 - 2:4a that it took 6 days to create, and then turns around in Genesis 2:4b and says all that took place within a single day?

How big a two-by-four do you need to hit you between the eyes to know that neither story is to be read literally?

Tell me, FoC, do you read Luke 2:1 as "all the world" and think Japanese were taxed? How can you be so inconsistent as to take extrabiblical evidence in that instance and modify how you interpret the Bible but don't do so in Genesis 1?

How do you justify that?

Sorry.

Genesis 1 is a literal account.
The other is a historical overview of creation.

If you would look into the Hebrew a little better, it would present itself very plainly

You all forget that the writers were men inspired by God.
Some writers were undeniably more poetic and used metaphor more often to illustrate their points.

There is no reason to do so with genesis 1.
The Hebrew wording is very plain and descript.

Warning! Warning! Pseudoscience has failed to convince the heretics! Their grasp of the basics of logical reasoning are making progress into the poor vulnerable christians before we can brainwash them!

It is time to fall back on the creationist emergency weapon: Mindless, unsupported rhetoric!

Seriously, are you unfamiliar with the word 'figurative'? Lets try an example, though you will probably ignore it or counter with more empty rhetoric and dogma like you do everything else that disagrees with your position.

Example:
Was George Orwell lying when he wrote 'Animal farm?' This text seems to be telling a clear factual account. However, it is not true. It is a figurative story to help people understand the nature of the Communist revolution in Russia.

There are many other stories which, with no external evidence applied, seem to be giving 'plain teaching' (are you reading this Maciah?) about something, like 1984 or Genesis in the Bible. However, if you apply external evidence (Britain is not a police state, the world is very old and is not covered by a solid fimament) you can see how they must not be literally true, but are not lies.

You shold audition for a part in one of the 'Matrix' sequels. I've never seen anyone dodge so fast.

I see that in your next post you have tried to address the Genesis 1/2 discrepancy but are giving no reason as to why they cannot both be poetic.

I'd say if you read your bible more often, you might learn how to distinguish ''figurative'' from historical.

I do.

I am overwhelmed by what He could have done instantly but instead decided to do in 6 days and rested on the 7th to lay a foundation for His the Sabbath.

He planned it all from the beginning.

Even how the ''delusion'', ''lie'', ''working of error'', would be put into place in the end times.

So you are admitting that you believe that God is personally and willfully tricking those people into not believing because of evidence He Himself planted?

What? He made heaven too small and has to trick more people into hell?

If God is personally going to trick people into going to hell, what was all that Jesus and forgiveness stuff for? A smokescreen?

"And Jehoshaphat had riches and honor in abundance, and he contracted a marriage with Ahab. And after some years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen in abundance for him, and for the people that were with him. And he persuaded him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead. And Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as you, and my people are as your people, and we with you in the war. And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Please inquire at the Word of Jehovah today. And the king of Israel gathered four hundred men of the prophets and said to them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I wait? And they said, Go up, for God will deliver it into the king's hand. But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not a prophet of Jehovah here besides, so that we might ask of Him? And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah. But I hate him, for he never prophesied good to me, but always evil. The same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so. And the king of Israel called to a certain eunuch and said, Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imla. And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat each of them on his throne, clothed in robes. And they sat in a grain floor at the entrance of the gate of Samaria. And all the prophets prophesied before them. And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made horns of iron for himself. And he said, So says Jehovah, With these you shall push Syria until they are crushed. And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead and be blessed. For Jehovah shall deliver it into the king's hand. And the messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth, and please let your word be like one of theirs, and speak good. And Micaiah said, As the Lord lives, even what my God says, that I will speak. And he came to the king. And the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I wait? And he said, Go up and be blessed. And they shall be delivered into your hand. And the king said to him, How many times shall I warn you that you say nothing but the truth to me in the name of Jehovah? And he said, I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, like sheep that have no shepherd. And Jehovah said, These have no master; let them return, each man to his own house in peace. And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil? Again he said, And hear the Word of Jehovah.

I saw Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of Heaven were standing on His right hand and on His left. And Jehovah said, Who shall tempt Ahab king of Israel so that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one spoke saying in one way, and another saying in another way. And a spirit came out and stood before Jehovah and said, I will tempt him. And Jehovah said, With what? And he said, I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And Jehovah said, You shall tempt him, and you are able. Go out and do so. And now behold, Jehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets, and Jehovah has spoken evil against you. And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek. And he said, Which way did the Spirit of Jehovah go from me to speak to you? And Micaiah said, Behold, you shall see on that day when you shall go into an inner room to hide yourself. And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son. And you shall say, So says the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction until I return in peace. And Micaiah said, If you certainly return in peace, then Jehovah has not spoken by me. And he said, Listen, all you people. And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead. And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself and will go to the battle. But you put on your robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself. And they went to the battle. And the king of Syria had commanded the commanders of the chariots with him, saying, Do not fight with small or great, but only with the king of Israel. And it happened when the commanders of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, It is the king of Israel. And they surrounded him to fight. But Jehoshaphat cried out, and Jehovah helped him. And God moved them to leave him. For it happened when the commanders of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him. And a certain man drew a bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joinings and the breastplate. And he said to the charioteer, Turn your hand, and you shall bring me out of the army, for I am wounded. And the battle increased that day; and the king of Israel was made to stand up in his chariot against the Syrians until the evening. And about the time of the sunset he died.
