REV. 11 is not the Mystery Babylon. Rev17-18 is. And St. Peter was in Rome when he penned in code Babylon, in his letter. Look up the time frame and history. Where is St. Peter buried? Defend the people of faith not the false teachers of the RCC the Vatican's fate is revealed in REV18. Even the Mother of our Lord speaks out against it. The Lord says "Come out of her my people".

I did not call you it and that is a play on words on your part. I was speaking as to one who is in the pursuit of God and His works- not as one who seeks to dismantle and malign the way of truth . Be careful where you go with me ! I will never loose an argument. I have the Lords Word on that . And it is by Him in which I measure a Popes words. This you should seek to do for your own salvation. If you are truly seeking the Lord. The Saints and the Prophets have a right and duty to call out a False teacher. Do not misrepresent my words again! If you know not the meaning of them you would do well as not to respond at all. Do you know the message of Fatima ?

Comment: too many issues! Break them up!

    1.Total Depravity of Man

    = Calvinistic false doctrine

    2. Enthroning the Bible in your Heart = never heard of it!

The Bible is the miraculous spirit-inspired and superintended "word of GOd".

    3. Ask Jesus into Your Heart.

Not Biblical. God Calls. Man accepts or rejects His spiritual calling by the choice of his "free will"

    4.The Rapture (LATIN: "rapturo"

    Scripture supports it.

RAPTURE...comes from the Latin "rapturo"(?) = ~caught up, snatched, raptured
    RETURN...RESURRECTION...RAPTURE...REUNION

....a predicted event happening on the Mount of Olives near Jerusalem:

BEFORE the end of the TRIBULATION / GREAT TRIBULATION:
    SEE: Matthew 24: 4-28

and AT (?) his SECOND COMING:
    See: Matthew 24: 29-31

    To the Church in Philadelphia:
    Revelations 3:10...
10....I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world
to test those who live on the earth. 11 I am coming soon.

Revelations 19: 11-16....The Rider on the White Horse
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse,
whose rider is called Faithful and True.
With justice he judges and makes war.
12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns.
He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.
13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations.
"He will rule them with an iron scepter."
He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Why?:..."encourage each other with these words..."

    1 Thessalonians 1:10
10 and to wait for his Son from heaven,
whom he raised from the dead—Jesus,
who rescues us from the coming wrath.

    THE RAPTURE:
    1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 (NIV)....RETURN - RESURRECTION - RAPTURE - REUNION
13 Brothers (BELIEVERS), we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep (Body dies),
or to grieve like the rest of men (UNBELIEVERS), who have no hope.(...BELIEVERS have hope/faith in eternal life )
14 We (BELIEVERS) believe that Jesus died and rose again and
so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep (Body dies) in (BELIEVING IN) him.
15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we (BELIEVERS) who are still alive,
who are left till the (SECOND) coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep (Body died).
16 For the Lord himself (Jesus) will COME DOWN from HEAVEN, (in the Resurrected Spirit-Body of Jesus?)
with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God,
and the dead (bodies) in Christ (BELIEVERS) will rise first.
17 After that, we (BELIEVERS) who are still alive and are left will be caught up (snatched/raptured)
together with them ("dead in Christ") in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (spiritual "heaven").
And so we will be with the Lord forever....(body/soul/spirit reunited and in the presence of Jesus in heaven)
18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

    5. Altar Call

Loosely based on Romans 10..."confess with your mouth"

6.Eternal Security = "Once Saved Always Saved" = (OSAS) = HOTLY DEBATED!

    Scripture supports it.SEE:

    7. The Five "SOLA's"...

    Are all Scriptural.

    The Five Solas are:

    1. Sola Scriptura (“Scripture alone”): The Bible alone is our highest authority.

    2. Sola Fide (“faith alone”): We are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ.

    3. Sola Gratia (“grace alone”): We are saved by the grace of God alone.

    4. Solus Christus (“Christ alone”): Jesus Christ alone is our Lord, Savior, and King.

    5. Soli Deo Gloria (“to the glory of God alone”): We live for the glory of God alone.

It's clear that you don't understand Catholic teaching or the scripture you posted. It would help to learn what Catholics actually believe before judging that Catholicism is against Jesus.

This thread is starting to venture into La La Land. A bold prediction: someone will accuse Catholics of idolatry, a nasty argument will ensue, after which thread will be closed.

    So it shall be written.

Am I? Or is the Lord special? Is His Word the measure by which to measure everyone's words including ones own. God is only confusion to those who do not receive understanding through the HOLY SPIRIT. I will never loose an argument with Him, that I can bank on and so can you.

I Do have a problem with Infallibility when a person makes doctrine or interprets doctrine in a false way. Are you speaking of Papal Infallibility? That is a broad brush stroke. It is obvious many Popes have proven to be fallible. Again you can not go wrong or loose when you measure by Christ' measure. I posted about this. I will never get caught in a snare with my Lord. Infallibility is the Word of God. And those who keep it are infallible. Rev. 14 proves this is possible. The RCC would have done better to say: THE WORD OF GOD IS INFALLIBLE, MEN WHO KEEP IT, TEACH IT AND PREACH BECOME PRESERVED BY IT- THUS BECOME INFALLIBLE!However, to place this as Doctrine over and concerning Popes and anyone representing Christ,
(infallibility) must be proven- not assumed. The RCC assumes we should just accept all Popes teachings without question. This contradicts 1John 4. So, I believe you are as Fallible or Infallible as the word you keep.

He doesn't have to. This is a thread about the errors prevalent in Catholicism. That's the topic, he's completely in the right posting things that shed light on that. If you want to delve into and discuss the beliefs of protestants, make a thread and go for it. But the topic is catholicism.

How do you know your personal interpretation of whatever books you don't reject is correct? Do you think the Holy Spirit personally guides you so that you can never be wrong?

I'm not saying that you agree with what you're typing, you're shedding light on the question I asked, and I appreciate it. Judging from your other posts I'd figure you were shedding light, and not trying to justify catholicism. But:

That's one of the problems. A doctrine, built entirely out of one verse taken out of context. It's not that Peter himself was the rock, what was being talked about just a moment before was the rock. Just as Jesus was the rock in the wilderness when Israel needed water, from which the water sprang, so is He to us now. If you look back just two verses:

    Matthew 16:13-18
13When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The part in red I highlighted because in the end time, what will Jesus say? "I never knew you."

The rock, was that God had allowed Peter to see who Jesus was, that knowledge was the rock he was to stand on. Not Peter himself. The rock that he was to stand on, was that he knew the living God, and that the living God knew him. "I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter,". He's showing Peter that He knows him by his name, not that Peter is going to then do what no man before him could ever have done.

1 Corinthians 10:4 - And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Quite a few things, si, that's what I was wanting to get people talking about. Hopefully get some peeps to look at the oldest form of christianity we have. It's got unbiblical priests, it has introduced more paganism into the faith than any other source, and it teaches that we can do the things Jesus specifically is doing for us right now, because of our inability to do so. I can go on, especially about the paganism they've put over on us but that's another thread in and of itself. (Not that the people who are alive today are responsible. I'm not saying that. It's been a tradition that - while it was forced on the early church by the early RC's - it's now just been going on for so long people don't really think to question it.)

If Jesus was specifically a roman catholic, then yes. He however, was not. His gospel, was that of His Father's, and His Father's gospel, requires us to keep Torah. Because of salvation, not for it. Jesus can't preach against the Torah, nor tell His disciples to do against the Torah either, otherwise He's breaking the same Torah He was supposed to uphold. It's called the Deuteronomy 13 test, and had He taught against Torah, He couldn't of been the Messiah.

I submit to you, that He never did away with the Torah, because all throughout the NT, the apostles kept Torah. Whether it was sacrificing animals, observing the biblical 7th day sabbath (which the RCC changed) or observing biblical feasts (which again, the RCC changed to get more pagans involved in Jesus, hence our reason for celebrating the feast of saturnalia - eg. christmas), or even teaching their converts how to celebrate the biblical feasts.

I encourage you to read the entire New Testament which will make it abundantly clear that Christians do not have to follow the Torah.
