Hi all.

My name is Richie. I'm a New Testament Christian, father of two elementary aged children, and husband of an amazing wife. I'm also an intelligence analyst in the US Air Force.

I'm currently working toward a bachelors degree in Bible/Ministry with the goal of working as a youth/family minister or a teacher when I retire from the military.

I'm very interested in internet and other new media ministries. I think that is a very underused medium by more conservative congregations.

Welcome A3MON and I am not sure what I am welcoming you to but I have been blessed so much already that I find it a challenge to figure out what to do with so much blessing. Yes, the Internet is cool. I am still fairly new at having a decent computer. There may well even be a Christian type of Netflix out there where you can subscribe to online Christian videos and Bible studies. But, I think that 2 John 12 and 3 John 14 call attention to the joys of face-to-face interaction. I do not think that the ministry shall ever be replaced by an artificial intelligence. And the church wist not that the Spirit had left it. The things nightmares are made from. Make it count for the Lord that we may bring people to Him while He may be found, in the Name of Jesus. I am a Newbie too.

Floyd, it wasn't my intention to imply we can replace face to face worship and fellowship with virtual interactions. Hebrews 10:25 also tells us that we need that face time so we can encourage each other. Rather I think the internet is a good starting point to evangelize and get folks thinking about God, a tool, not a replacement. I work odd hours, so writing a blog is the best way for me to spread God's Word and love.
