No, they would just prefer that Hitler could have lived forever and kept subjugating people for eternity. Thank God there is indeed death, because the vast majority of man would simply cause the continued suffering of mankind for eternity otherwise. Perhaps you can't see a reason for some people needing to die, but then I don't claim terrorists and dictators and evil people should be allowed to live. An eye for an eye....

    That's because I believe:

    1. God is might.
    2. God is right.
Thus, with God, might is right.

Hopefully you never get the chance to decide right from wrong, and please do not raise any children, there are enough people in the world that don't think they need to be accountable for their actions as it is.

Actually I believe people should be accountable for their actions and for understanding the difference between right and wrong. Whether you read it in a book or work it out through objective ethical and moral principles, it is ultimately you who bears the responsibility for your actions.

How about His own standards for one?

    To wit ...

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Galatians 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And that's just for starters! :)

Because without standards I can just shoot you in the head for no reason and its ok to do so. I don't think you really believe standards are bad do you? If you continually harm other people why should you be allowed to continue to do so for eternity? But if you follow the law of love then you won't harm anyone else and therefore have nothing to worry about.

It's not what you profess, but your actions.

Luke 12:47-48 47 “And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes,
48 but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.

Those professing will be judged by stricter standards than those never having heard.

Rev 20:13-15 "...And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds..."

Follow the law of love and your misdeeds will be slight and your punishment light. All others will simply cease to exist.

But what make his standards right? I'm not arguing for no standards, I'm asking you to justify the standards you have chosen.

You are doing a fine job of painting the picture yourself. Shamelessly summing up your position as "might is right" would make the whole of Christian world slap you on the back I'm sure.

Jesus justified His standards when they could find no fault in Him at His trials -- none whatsoever.

So the justification for God's standards comes from the ancient Roman legal system?

Why wouldn't I sum it up shamelessly?

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The gospels say "might is right" do they?

Jesus went through six trials: 3 at the hands of the Sanhedrin and 3 at the hands of the Romans.

Not one person could find Him guilty of anything.

At the last, they brought two men who gave false testimony ...

    Matthew 26:59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;
Matthew 26:60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

    ... and even they couldn't agree ...

Mark 14:59 But neither so did their witness agree together.

    I promise you ... you won't either.

Resolving the dilemma of having your conclusion "might is right" not quite tallying with the content of the gospels is not answered by pointing out that the gospels omit scientific facts. Unless of course you think that omitting "might is right" from the gospels was an oversight. Is that what you are driving at? A complete rewrite of the gospels to include your own personal summation, "might is right", to justify your god's killing sprees in the bible? That would certainly have pepped up the sermon on the mount.

This actually doesn't require one to be a Rhodes scholar to figure out.

Unlike the gods of polytheism that you guys are accustomed to falling back on, God is always right.

In fact, He cannot do wrong.

So anything He does, He does it right.

Let's see you reconcile this paradox:

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.

Ecclesiastes 3:3a A time to kill,
