CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Word of God is Jesus Christ Himself. The Bible is a book containing His Word, but not all of it is his Word. In the places where God speaks, that is his Word.

Yes it is! The bible=word of God=infallible. Everything in the bible is inspired through God, the creator of earth. We must take the whole bible for granted not only the words of Jesus Christ (red letters in NKJV).

I believe many manuscripts we have today have been preserved by God for our use. I think some tranlations and also some "manuscripts" are tainted and not of God but we can find out which is which with research and God's help. I'm still learning a lot about this subject, very indepth subject when you look into it.

According to Bible...if what a prophet says happens they are a true prophet. If it doesn't happen that way, then they got stoned to death by the community to "purge the evil from among you"
Now about the books other than the prophets.....the Torah was "supposedly" dictated to Moses by God.... The apostles wrote most of the New Testament (I think they could be trustworthy enough), and the general letters were inspired by the Holy spirit. Through both Apostles and great teachers of the early church.
