We have a cold front making it's way up our coast. And it is bringing with it about 6-7 inches of snow at latest prediction.
The snow is supposed to hit here on Friday and Saturday, and stick around for Sunday.
One local Protestant church is already cancelling it's services for this weekend, and I imagine that our parish will do the same.
Please pray that we will be safe, and that our power will remain operational.

maybe things will close so your roads can be cleared?

we just had 13 inches Sunday into holiday
surprisingly, all the schools were cancelled Tuesday
not enough plow drivers to get all roads cleared

I was out 'til midnight pushing a little at a time off driveway
then shocked to see SO much more in morning!

It all depends on the timing of the storm, what will close and what will be open.
What I do know is that we haven't seen snow like this since the early 2000's!

Of course I meant to write "Power" above. I am always rushing when I post.
Not a problem, and very applicable, since I have both natural gas and electric.
(But I discovered that the gas doesn't work without the electric!)
So by all means, let ALL the powers work!

And here it is, Friday morning.
The water is still dripping, the roads around here appear to be clear, the houses and grass and cars are all coated with a dusting of snow.
The temp will remain below freezing today, and then dip lower tonight.
Yes, we are still supposed to receive the bulk of the snow overnight tonight.

And here comes snow weekend #2!
Yep, we get to go thru this snow again this weekend, and then it's supposed to cruise up the coastline, and pay a visit to Boston as well.
This is an unusual Winter!
Just hoping that I still have power on Sunday morning.:crossrc:

We are supposed to get blasted this coming Friday into Saturday. They are talking a major Nor'easter with high winds and ocean surges. 12 to 18 inches of snow.

Button down the hatches.

I've been watching that forecast, this storm is fluctuating wildly. A few hours ago it said NY was gonna get 6-7" now it's saying 3.5"...

I m just saw this latest snow amounts map talking about 60 mph winds and a lot of snow. Grant it its early and they love to exaggerate.

16.9 inches is aa lot of snow

So I guess what they haven't been sure about is it's trajectory, when it is/was down in the Carolinas they said it could still swing inland, so if it had then the snowfall here in the DMV and up in NY would be higher, but I guess it's not so that's probably accounting for the lower predictions here and higher ones up in Boston.
