I'm issuing this poll because I'm curious as to whether both methods are alright. I'm sure the EOC method is best, but I'm wondering if the second method is legitimate from time to time.

ETA: I want to add that I can't seem to change my poll to eliminate "both," because I already enabled "multiple votes allowed" anyway. Poo on that :|

I honestly say both.

All mortal sins ***must*** be confessed.

Examine your conscience thoroughly, and if any mortal sin you are aware that hasn't been confessed comes to your conscience, confess it and be at peace.

Sort of related...

If a priest is willing to hear a general confession (a confession of ALL committed sins during one's lifetime), I suggest you do this every 10 years or so. If you do not have an overly scrupulous conscience.

I last did it when I was in college. That was probably six years ago.

It's to finally beat Satan right out the door once and for all.

God bless you

I would definitely have to use a notebook to record all those sins as I go along.

I did it straight from memory. IIRC, I just rambled on and on of every sin I believe I committed. Do what is best for you.

God is merciful,

God bless

I would say that when each of you went thru RCIA, you were blessed to have excellent instruction.
When I went thru RCIA, sadly such was not the case.
I can only assume that God knows this, knows my heart, and my situation now. :crossrc:
