Again, I did not receive the 1,000 dollars. My bank made that authorization without my approval. If I knew the money came from bad people like the mafia, I would try and return the money. If the money was from a family member who did not have such money to give to me, I would send it back to them (Knowing that they would suffer if they did not have that money, i.e. they would lose their house, etc.). So no. Gifts have to be received. Gifts are not forced upon people. It doesn't work like that.

Yes, the verse says salvation is all done by God. It also says it only happens if we first receive him.

No, it does NOT say it happens if we first receive Him.
In fact "first receive him" is nowhere in the passage.

It says those who receive him are born NOT of the will
of the flesh and NOT of the will of man. That DESTROYS
your theory that any man can "accept" Christ.

It must be terrible to have verse 13 following your
"proof text" that men decide to "receive Him" because
verse 13 says it is NOT man's will at all... it is God's Will

Joh 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power
to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Gifts have to be received. Gifts are not forced upon people. It doesn't work like that.

If God gives a man "faith" that man will be saved.
If God DOES NOT give that man "faith" that man is lost.
It could not be more simple.


BTW.... the faith is not FORCED ON PEOPLE
(that is a ridiculous statement) because
God "draws" the elect to Christ.

But God does NOT "draw" those who are not elect.
So they can NEVER come to Jesus.
