Actually, I don't think they expect middle eastern refugees to vote Democrat (they wouldn't necessarily have permanent citizenship anyways).

Of course they do. What do you think is the motivation for this policy?

Do you think this is good for America?

It seems that many democrats don't care about Americans, they care about power.

They think these immigrants will be reliable DNC voters.

I think that the US and North America in general is more ideologically equipped to absorb and assimilate refugees that European societies are. I think that the better policy would be to assist neighboring countries to Syria in order to be able to deal with the humanitarian crisis that the latest endless war has wrought upon the ME. The objective of a refugee policy is to provide temporary refuge, with the goal of refugees eventually returning to their own homes. That will not happen if Europe or NA become the primary havens of refuge.

In terms of Syrian Christians or Yazidis, to the extent that any Yazidis even remain, since the point of safe return is likely measured in lifetimes rather than years, the policy could be one of offering permanent residency to these kinds of refugees.

Until the Muslims of the ME firmly reject Islamism and the havoc and failure that it inevitably wreaks upon lives, importing refugees will solve nothing. The amount of refugees that the Islamist future holds cannot be successfully absorbed by a country as large and wealthy as America.
This is a made in the House-of-Islam problem, and that is where the problem needs to play itself out. It is a false charity that wreaks havoc on its citizens by importing the problem into their own borders, as is now the case with Merkel's Europe.

Don't forget how Obamacare was going to require mandatory RFID "mark of the beast" chips and compulsory euthanasia for anyone over 70. We haven't had a good "FEMA death camps" story in a while, either.

On Thursday, Clinton delivered a speech in which she suggested that opposition to our federal policy of large-scale immigration is a “fringe” position motivated by racism.

However, polling data seems to undermine her argument. According to Pew, 92% of the GOP electorate– and 83% of the American electorate overall– would like to see immigration levels frozen or reduced. Nearly six in ten African American voters– and a majority of Hispanics voters (53%)– said immigration into the U.S. is “too high.”

The data has led Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions to conclude that “It is not mainstream, but extreme, to continue surging immigration beyond all historical precedent. And it is not rational, but radical, to refuse to recognize limits.”

It is an important point to take away from the article that the elites of America and Europe have really become separated from the mainstream.
