That is the nature of the office. Did anyone's opinion
matter except Obama's when he was President? No.
People can offer advice and guidance, but it comes
down to the President making the decisions and the
rest carrying them out.

President Trump doesn't mince words. He gets right
to the heart of the matter, which is refreshing after
decades of half-truths and diplomatic speech (lies).

Which would be nice if he had some idea how to do his job, which President Trump doesn't.

...I suspect he's so tone deaf to other people he doesn't so much "not care" what other people think he can't imagine other people have the "audacity" to hold opinions different from his own. And if they do? They're always going to be wrong. :D
tulc(knows there's a difference between "not mincing words" and President Trumps "I've been told, by the people who work for me, that I'm a genius all my life and now I believe it!") :sorry:

He is right in that the final decision is his. But those officials are there to deal with the day to day to affairs of their respective bureau and to advise the Sec State and POTUS on issues that fall within their purview. Simply put, even though the ultimate responsibility is the President's, he just doesn't have the time or the attention to deal with those issues.
