The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Supplanter what scares me is that while dealing with OCD i have said things against the holy ghost ..it just happened i am afraid that i really have committed it
to me its just so hard for me to believe that God is that forgiving. i had a preacher tell me this one time what the uf-sin was and then he looked at me with this look in his eye and "said haven't done ANYTHING like that...have you!" and scares me. Ive also heard people say that even if you come to Jesus and ask for forgiveness that he would not forgive you if you've dont this. & whemevr you all tell me these things that make me feel better then i think about what they've said.

You definitely need a good doctor who specializes in OCD to prescibe some correct meds for you. Just coming to this website for some relief by obsessively checking things while not listening to anyone other than yourself, won't, and hasn't, worked at all. Time to take another approach.Meds Caty, MEDS!
Your coming to this website is just another "Checking ritual." Aren't you tired enough of this sickness by now to seek some professional help!
If you don't, you will eventually wear all your friends and family out. And sadly, if they haven't already, they will completely lose interest in helping you. So don't let that happen! GET SOME PROFESSIONAL HELP! PLEEEEASE!

& I really hope you all are not getting tired of me, I need you all.
No Cathy, not getting tired of you, but you are not going to conquer and overcome your sufferings, until you start searching for real help from the healing ministry.
Your problem isn't just physical and emotional!

Im not speaking against healing ministry in fact thats wonderful and God can use it to heal anyone ,,,
But for you to say that Caty IS NOT going to conquer or overcome her sufferings without it ,, is really not for you to say .
Thats an opinion based on your belief but it doesnt mean that its factual .
Dont overlook the fact that sometimes God uses Doctors to bring about healing not in every one ... For example i have OCD but dont take meds because of side effects and suicide risk but thats me ... But i know a Christian who was healed through medical treatment and she is doing great today .. So lets pray God leads Caty into what is best for her healing and lets not try to determine that for her ,eh ?..
My opinion is also from experience, and Cathy needs help from a good GOD-anointed counsellor. And through good GOD-anointed counselling she will learn how to conquer and overcome.

But again you are speaking about yourself and not Caty You are assuming that her problem WILL be solved by a healing ministry ..Frankly i wish that were known to be true because i would seek out one myself ...
I didnt mention this before but i think its worth mentioning ..Some ministrys make people with mental illness suffer more ..because they attribute all of it to the devil or to some past sins that the Christian has committed ..and in many cases the real problem is with their bodies not their souls ,,,

You are right for those who know him he heals all But it doesnt all ways happen when we want it or how we want it and for millions upon millions it NEVER happens in this life at all .. To deny that is to deny the obvious
It is actually a crime to tell someone that if they have enough Faith or that if they are as close to God as they should be that THEY WILL BE HEALED in the hear and now ... Because it might not happen . Now If Jesus is God he can heal Caty or you and I in less than a second ,, and that isn't the issue the issue is NO ONE and I repeat NO ONE should tell Caty that if she does this or that That She will be healed .. because really that is Gods call to make ..anyway i have made my point and im getting off the subject ..
I just don't know how you all can be so sure that I'm not unforgiveable. I try to think that and then this huge fear comes over me.
I don't love myself at all. But what I'm saying is how can you all be so sure that I haven't done something unforgivable. I mean doesn't that scripture kinda "take away" other in a sense that even if you do repent---you are still unforgiveable--because Jesus said your unforgivable. do you get me??
