I view trump totally differently to his supporters. If I could not hear the crowd I would have no idea when they would cheer, laugh or Boo.
They only cheer some of the time when he mentions things his supporters like
They only laugh some of the time when he says something strange
They only Boo some of the time when he mentions Democrats

It has no coherence. He just rambles around saying anything that comes into his mind. One moment he's talking about say, the supreme court and then he's off on "Oh wow! Look at the pretty bird!" He is unfocussed and it's getting worse.

This is probably because he doesn't have his staff lead the audience about when to applaud, cheer, or laugh like some other politicians do. That being the case, you shouldn't expect everyone to feel like responding in unison to everything they hear.
