Because you'll have one after reading this :D

Seriously though, it's a full theory on Lost. Don't read it if you don't want to know someone else's opinion on what's going on.

Problems:

1. How does Ben get a tumor while in a time loop? That goes exactly against one of the major parts of the theory.

2. If the island is on a 108 minute loop, then why isn't it always daytime?

Support:

1. Charlie has to die because Aaron is taking his place, sort of like the Ben/mother change.

2. Walt aging suddenly.

3. The weather seems to change very abruptly - possibly because of the island jumping back in time.

Questions:

1. Others have died - such as Boone and Shannon. What is the reason for this necessary course correction?

2. How do things like the vaccine fit in? Is it simply an idea the producers had and eventually dropped?

I quit reading about halfway through. It bases too much on assumption that is not supported by anything given to us as evidence in the show, and really full of holes. For example:

1981-2007: Ben grows up from the age 10 to 37, planning with Richard and Jacob the “ultimate plan” to wipe out DHARMA, the purge.

Maybe they explain this later in the article, but the plane landed in 2004 and the purge had already happened by then. All of the "alternate future" stuff doesn't seem to jive since people are dying and going back in time and course correcting and still existing in the future. And speaking of course correcting, if the monster is the "physical way" the timeline course corrects, then why the need for Ben to "replace" his mother as a course correction?

It reminds me a lot of the "Ron is Dumbledore" theory that went around while the Harry Potter books were being written. :D
