The list of the candidates is still open. So this is just a provisional first poll in that matter.
I have chosen 6 candidates - 3 ladies and 3 gentlemen.

OK - come April 2022 - all those will be better known.

Hi @Red Gold

Probably not in the U.S. I really can't imagine the majority of the populace over here on the other side of the 'big pond' really caring who gets elected President in France. I am surprised that there are soooo many political parties in France. I hadn't any idea of that and again, doubt that most people here do.

God bless,
Ted

And what about Emmanuelle Macron?
He is the President of France.
I wouldn't have known that, what has he done lately to get some credit to his name?

Not the majority.
But some, that are interested in the world outside the US.
I am sure, there are some.

For me it is a part of cuulture and education, to know a minimum about the world outside one's own country.

If you were running a poll about an election in Japan for example, I'd see you applying your point in reality. However, Germany and France are neighbors so ...

And the USA and France are friends - or so I am told. :)
I don't mind France per se. However, if you understood the politics between Quebec and the rest of Canada, you might understand the unintentional ambivalence towards France.

I don't know any of those people.

I don't know any of them either.

I barely know our own. I look up to figure out who is the least rotten come election time pretty much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm an Aussie, we pay more attention to the footy.

How about a link to a short page on each one.
