If you could choose any talent what would it be?

I'd like to be gifted with words, both spoken and written.

I have sometimes thought that words are power. When I communicate a word, it becomes a thought in the mind of another person. In Genesis 1, God created with words.

Depends on the art, but I think most people have more potential than they realize. I remember taking an art class in high-school. While I was pretty good at drawing cartoons and whatnot, I thought I had no chance of drawing anything "realistic". Only to discover a few simple techniques can vastly improve your art abilities. Look at past civilizations. Some of the older cultures have crude art. It wasn't that the talent didn't exist, just the methods of constructing and whatnot were not yet discovered.

I was listening to some music and I realized that I would rather be a great musician than a great sculptor.

- sculptor doesn't have a product until he/she sets down the hammer and chisel and stops.
- musician has a product from the moment he/she picks up the instrument.
- sculptor can enjoy the product forever after completion.

I wonder if there has been a mix up of meanings through time.
A talent can be a measure of weight around 20 kg.
Also money, 6,000 denars.

But talent as I think most are thinking here,

would it not be like a natural skill,

somethings come easy for most and somethings
are not so easy.

But I think if one has a proffession that is a natural skill,
one is more likely to enjoy going to work, rain or shine.


- In the past, a musician could not enjoy the product after completion, but with recording technology that is no longer the case.

So if the choice is musician or sculptor then I would choose musician.

Just curious what sorts of talents others might want.

I like to hope that God created everything with a purpose so that even if we don't feel like successes it is only because we don't see the grand purpose and how we fitted into it all.

world to it,s knees.
How much can we not achieve?

After all we are created in His image.
