Hi guys, I had a question.

Recently a lot of people are saying that the Rapture is coming soon, and that Jesus is coming for his spotless bride. They are also saying that a lot of Christians will not be raptured as well.

My question is, if you believe in Christ, and you are not raptured up during the time of the Rapture, can you still be saved during the Tribulation?

Here's a post from Robert Lyte on YouTube:

MANY WILL NOT MAKE THE RAPTURE
Contrary to popular belief, not many believers will make the rapture. The reason being, is because they wont be found worthy on the day the Lord calls his faithful bride. Many teach that as long as you are a believing Christian, that you will go in the rapture. This is lies. Truth is, as long as you are obedient to Christ, have learned your lessons to overcome your sins in his name, and have walked according to his will, you will be ready. If you are instead lukewarm and in your sins never committing a life to Christ being faithful to him, you will find yourself being left behind along with all those who never overcame the flesh, and their pet sins.

Everyone who is called, has a battle to endure and win. If you win you will go as an overcomer. If you remain proud and stuck in your sins with a hard heart, then you will have to remain behind for refining with many lashes during the Great Tribulation.

A lot of Christians are still living for their future dreams and career goals, many still chase after sports, fun, and entertainment. Others are ruined by their love of possession and money ever striving to acquire a good house for themselves, cars and possessions leaving little room in their hearts for the Lord. Others are filing their time with useless entertainment like video games, Netflix, and popular entertainment. They have no room in their minds for Jesus and remembering the Lord, because these other things fill out their time and interests. To them, reading about all God has done in the scriptures is boring and a chore. They are not filled with joy and happiness about all God has done. They are more focused on what fulfils their interests. These will be left behind to be tried with great tribulation to refine their faith, rid themselves of their idols, and be ready to die for the Lord and go be with him forever if they do not fail, fall away, and take the mark of the beast instead. Life is normal enough now, but when they come to take all your freedoms away, and close your internet off, and shutdown your money supply, and FORCE you to make a decision to either serve Christ or serve the devil and be doomed, then the heart will be tried as if with fire, and many will repent and do finally what many of us do today, learning our lessons, enduring, and perfecting in faith instead of just saying we are saved and obedience to God is works, and so bring upon ourselves the terrible troubles ahead. Take heart you who are pure in heart, who suffer for righteousness sake, and bear shame and laughter for Jesus' name in this wicked society, for Jesus is coming and will take us home to be part of the next chapter for earth. Remember it is the pure in heart who shall see God, and purity in heart comes from above so seek that if you lack and are being overwhelmed by the flesh.

Thank you guys,

I believe so.

Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

EDIT: that is to say I believe that some people are saved out of the great tribulation. Whether or not any people who are already Christians go through the great tribulation is a matter of dispute.

When the rapture happens, only the Christians who are reborn in Holy Spirit will be saved. The Holy Spirit will leave with them to Heaven to join the Feast. Once the Holy Spirit leaves the Earth, the antichrist will be revelaed as there is no divine being blocking him anymore. Once that happens, the antichrist (the beast) will fully rule the Earth. During the times of the antichrist the tribulation will happen, and it will be worse than sodom and gomorah, even worse than the flood. People will be so desperate for this to end, they will do anything, and thus accept the mark of the beast. If you however resist the beast and don't receive the mark because of your strong faith in Jesus, you will be killed because of it and go to Heaven

This person is incorrect, any person who has trusted in The Messiah for the free gift of Eternal Life will be raptured. Now the key is, has a person placed their faith in The Messiah and not in being a church member, turning from sin, obedience, doing good works, trying to live a sinless life, etc.....

Not a single believer who has trusted in the Messiah for Eternal Life will be left behind

Yes, a person can be saved during the tribulation. Jesus stated quite plainly, "the one who endures to the end, he will be saved."

But the inquiry is moot because the tribulation of Matthew 24 and Revelation 2-7 has already come and gone.

Revelation 1:9
"I, John, your brother and fellow partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus."

John was a partaker in the tribulation.

According to Jesus his disciples would go through the tribulation.

Matthew 24:9-25
"Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of my name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have told you in advance."

Jesus looked his gathered disciples, the ones in attendance that evening on the Mount of Olives looking across the saddle down upon the temple and he said, "...they will deliver YOU to tribulation..." He did not say, "they will deliver them to tribulation."

Who is the "you" in that passage? Is it those in attendance with Jesus? Or is it people who were not there, people who weren't even alive at that time, people living 20 or more centuries later?

Do you read you Bible as written? Do you believe it as written?

Have you read, or are you familiar with the eschatologies other than tribulational rapturism?

Why does everyone separate good works from faith. Faith causes us to do good works. Can't a person do good works through faith?

There is no guarantee of a pre-Trib rapture. On an individual basis, there is not even a guarantee of "tomorrow."

The best you can do is get Saved, today.
  1. If you die first, you get to go to Heaven.
  2. If the Rapture comes early, you get to avoid extra trouble.
  3. If the Rapture comes late, you will have God to help you get through that time.
Win/win/win!

All Christians that are sealed with the Holy Spirit will be taken when the rapture takes place, as we are part of the HS's ministry of restraint. The anti-Christ can't be unveiled until the ministry of restraint ends.

Now whether people can still be saved during the Great Tribulation or not is an entirely different matter. I do believe so; salvation has always been possible. And salvation will be the same way as it always has been (even in the Old Testament), by faith. Now how the Holy Spirit moves within believers during the Trib. is also another matter.

But one thing I've noticed with God is that His ways aren't complicated, He keeps things simple for us.

Good works is part of living the believers discipleship life.
Good works plays no part in a person placing their faith, belief, trust in the Messiah for the free gift of Eternal Life. That only takes a moment in time, no time to do any works only a moment to trust.

It is not a good thing to be taken away from the earth. Christ will rule with his saints here on the earth.

The wicked are taken away from the earth, just like the weeds are separated from the wheat, and burned, while the wheat remains.

Pet sins? Don't you find these phrase odd? Our sins are not pets. Sins are overcome through faith in Jesus.

If the rapture happens and you’re left behind you can still be saved. In revelations it talks about martyrs who are beheaded for Christ and are given white robes. Take comfort.

If the Holy Spirit is absent from the world at that time, as you seem to state, who is convicting anyone of sin or revealing Christ to them?

The rapture will only take Christians who are born in Spirit, however the Christians who know who Jesus is but have not yet fully turned to Him will still remain on Earth. As well as Israelites who not yet accepted Jesus as God and Savior.

"But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!" - Revelations 3:16

Jesus here talks about the Christians who love Jesus but equally love earthly things. Their heart has not turned yet, they love both heaven and earth. It's like that parable of the Feast and many who are invited make excuses, that's the parable of the day of the Rapture, that when the day comes, some Christians will still be holding to earthly things so in their heart they will be like 'no not yet I still have to finish (whatever they doing)' those Christians will not be taken at the day of the Rapture.

The Holy Spirit has to go also on the day of the Rapture so the Antichrist can be revealed and go on full destruction of the Earth. As long as the Holy Spirit is here, he cannot do that as the Holy Spirit is blocking him from doing so.

Then the tribulation will start and it will be the worst event in history, even worse than Sodom and Gomorah. Those Christians who are left however still can repent and still chose Jesus over earthly things by not accepting the mark of the beast for which they are killed. These Christians then will go to Heaven as they died for Christ's sake but will not be born in Spirit as the Spirit is no longer on Earth. At the moment the only way to go to heaven is to be born of Spirit because He is here on Earth, but after the rapture, after the Spirit departs your only way will be to resist the beast and not accept the mark.

These Christians who then died for Christ's sake will join us in heaven. We can see them in Revelations 6:10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?"

Many people here are confused that these are the martyrs like Stephen but that is false. How do I know this? Because people born in Spirit don't shout for revenge. What did Stephen say before they stoned him? 'God forgive them, for they do not know what they do' why would he ask for revenge in heaven when he asked God for forgiveness here on earth? Why anyone born in Spirit who doesn't ask for revenge all of the sudden asks for it in heaven? Thus this confirms the theory that the Christians who ask God for revenge in Rev 6:10 are not born in Spirit, therefore they must have gotten into heaven after the Rapture, once the tribulation started and they rejected the beast and they got killed for Jesus's name thus they went into heaven but they were never reborn in Spirit thus they asking for revenge in heaven.

This isn't correct, the martyrs do ask for vindication.
The martyrs praise God for His vengeance on their killers. Revelation 19:1-2

The Christians who ask God '“How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” in Revelation 6 are the Christians who were not born in Spirit, they have not been raptured, but they resisted the beast and died because of it. They go to Heaven but because they have not been born in spirit they still ask for vengeance. They too are martyrs but not martyrs like Stephen who was born in spirit. Ask for vengeance and praise the Lord that He has given fair judgement are two different things.

Well some will be the 144,000 from my understanding.

So the 144,000 Jewish witnesses of Christ sealed by God are convicting people of sin? I am confused. It is my understanding only the Holy Spirit brings conviction. The witnesses in this instance are those who are chosen by God to witness to their Brethren of Christ.
