but it doesn't get much traffic.

My sister has a purplish rash, its like a few purple dots...similar to a rash that I had a few months (note that when I had this rash I felt really ill and tired all the time and the rash took a month and a bit to disappear). I put a glass against the rash and it isn't fading....so my question is is it only meningitis that can cause this rash to not fade?

I am hoping that one of you will know something...:)

Rashes can be caused by many things, including reactions to insect bites and food. Meningitis is usually much more severe than a rash, including a comatose state and other major medical issues....

If she breaks out into a major fever or the rash starts spreading aggressively, it would be a good idea to get to a doctor.

This is why rashes suck, as they are caused by reactions to so many different things that it can often be hard to pinpoint the cause.
