It seems like when I have multiple things that I need to do I try to rush around to get them all done even if I already know what all I need to do,.. and of course all this does is make my heart race, stress me out, and sometimes causes mistakes to happen. Does anybody have any good advice for me?

Don't give in to the pressure, and be quiet in prayer and wait for how God guides you in peace.

no advice except I drink decaf green tea to relax me
and remind myself "God is in charge"

also, using a gratitude journal helps remind us of God's blessings

A thing I think of is if we seek pleasure and convenience, our weakness for pleasure and convenience can help to keep us weak so we can also suffer spiritual and emotional pain.

And if we try to make people do things our way, including by arguing and pressuring people and feeling entitled, this also can keep us weak so we can deeply suffer.

But God "gives us richly all things to enjoy," our Apostle Paul does say, in 1 Timothy 6:17. So, God is not anti-pleasure, plus He does work things out for us, in our circumstances. But in the process, we need to pray so we are appreciative of nice things, and enough is enough > "be content with such things as you have," we have in Hebrews 13:5.

However - - - always be ready for how we will be tested, along with how things might go our way. We need to stay strong and ready, because as Jesus shares very good things with us, Satan can be allowed to test our blessings with even the exact opposite. But as we stay with God, we marvel at how He keeps the blessings He is committed to, in spite of Satan's messing.

But people can try to isolate themselves and protect their little treasure pleasures and convenience and security for getting things their way; but this keeps them weak. And they likely can't handle relating well with a variety of people, with ready patience and ready forgiveness and kindness when people turn out to be wrong, somehow. So, they hide because deeply they are weak and maybe afraid of getting hurt or having people who will interfere with their treasures; and so they miss out on love and can wonder why they are so lonely and bored >

In finding out how to love, we have our most worthwhile challenge and adventure and education . . . in sharing with God . . . not on our own. He makes us strong enough, and creative :)

One thing I mean is God can make us strong so we do not suffer stress.

And Jesus says He will give you "rest for your souls." (in Matthew 11:28-30)

I think stress can be because we expect things to be our way, and we are not ready for things that aren't what we want.

Instead, we should trust God to decide how things will go, and be ready to have peace with God, no matter what happens.

    IMHO

    1. Realize that this stress in not going away from your life. (As as special needs, it may be complicated too.)

    2. Having a plan ahead of time on how you will handle the stress will reduce it. This will take time to develop and it may not work on occasions so.

    3. Having a back up plan will also need to be developed.

    4. Having additional back up plans will help even more.

    5. So some level of containment and victory will result.

As far as actual plans, you'll get a dime a dozen here at this forum. But cultivate your own unique plan. (Sure copy stuff from others if it's helpful)

So there you have it! (Sorry if it's too kiss....keep it simple stupid)

    God bless.

One of my favorite quotes (paraphrased), "Victorious living, is not the absence of struggles, doubts, failure, discouragement, unbelief, and sin, but knowing what to do when we struggle, doubt, fail, get depressed, doubt, or sin."

    from the same author....
