I never thought the day would come when Samsung would be beaten in the SSD game.

Samsung has made the fastest SSDs for years now and I'm always bought Samsung SSDS because well... I would be an idiot not to. They were the best bang for your buck, they were cheap and they were fast as the roadrunner.

But now WD has recently come out with its WD Black SN850 SSD which is faster and the same exact price as Samsungs newest SSD the 980 pro series. Both use PCI-E 4.0 technology so they're only available to AMD users. But rocket lake processors are coming up next year that will finally bring PCI-E 4.0 to intel customers like me.

So when the rocket lake processors come put sometime next year im going to hop all over that. I'm super excited and sort of wish I hadnt invested in comet lake processors this year. Oh well. Anyway, never thought this tech news would ever happen. Samsung has been the king literally since the SSD was invented.
