Hi everyone
I'm slowly but surely making my way through my backlog of books that I've started but never finished and I think I'm going to hold off on a few of them for now. Anyway, I was thinking about reading something by St. Teresa of Avila in the near future since I am looking at a potential Carmelite vocation (discalced...possibly secular discalced...we'll see). I'm not real sure where to start, though. I'm debating between The Interior Castle, The Way of Perfection, and her autobiography. I'd like to read all three, but my brain isn't handling reading well right now and I don't want to push it. Of those three (or others), where do you think would be the best place to start?
I'm also looking at a book Finding God's Will for You by St. Francis de Sales. I really enjoyed his Intro to the Devout Life, and that's also on my reading list. Has anyone heard of it/read it?
Thanks a lot!
-Brad
