This is my first post :)

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was the act of claiming Christ preformed His miracles by the power of the Devil.

What you described is not blasphemy of the HS.

Its basically a sin that can't be committed anymore. It would be like reading Harry Potter and concluding that Darth Vader was Abraham Lincoln's half sister. Its an impossible conclusion. No one can read the Bible today and conclude that Christ preformed miracles with the power of the Devil

Peter denied the Lord three times, and yet the Lord forgave Him without hesitation.

The angel in Jesus' tomb, thought different, Peter wasn't considered a disciple at that time.

Mark 16:7 (ESV Strong's) 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”

There are no works required - Ephesians 2:8,9, Romans 4:5, Titus 3:5. Repenting of sin is a work. We are saved by grace through faith, not of works.

Then why are we commanded to repent? Repenting isn't a work, it's just a change of mind, a decision to follow the Spirit and not the flesh.

It wasn't that the angel was saying that Peter was no longer a disciple. Jesus made special mention of Peter because He wanted to make sure that Peter was present so He could totally forgive him. This is what happens when we mess things up. The Lord singles us out for special forgiveness and encouragement.

If one denies Jesus Christ before they became a true follower of Christ, because he was not willing to give up sin at the time, but later on realizes that he made that mistake and finally accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, and forsake all sin, will he be forgiven? He knew Jesus was good and real but at the time was not willing to accept Jesus due to sin but later on he finally accepts Jesus as lord and savior and asks Jesus to help him to sin no more. He struggles with sin but in order to be saved one must follow AND OBEY Jesus's commands.

Has he blasphemed the holy spirit?
The fact your asking indicates that you didn’t.
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit simply put is denying the good work the Lord has done and giving Satan or another spirit the credit.
Jesus spoke about the unpardonable sin (blasphemy of the Holy Spirit)
Matthew 12 22 onwards. Read the whole passage and understand the context
The Pharisees were accusing Jesus that His exorcism was done using devils and demons. (Beelzebul) They were blaspheming the Holy Spirit by saying He was evil. They refused to believe He was the Spirit of God.
This is what the unpardonable sin is, to deny the Holy work of God, and give the credit to Satan

You must literally go after the Holy Spirit in an insulting way to blaspheme HIM.
(matthew 12:31-32, mark 3:28-30, Luke 12:8-10)

Below are some videos of what true blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is.

There is no hope of repentance or forgiveness for these people. They are literally walking zombies awaiting Eternal Torment / Damnation.

What is the true meaning of Blaspheming the holy spirit?

This is the critical question right here because the reality is that if you ever blasphemed against the Holy Spirit you would not even care to be on this forum and make this post. To blaspheme against the holy spirit is to harden your heart and mind to the working and role of the holy spirit to the extent that the holy spirit totally leaves you. Since the holy spirit is the one to convince us of sin, let us know what is right and wrong and lead us to repentance, when he no longer works in our life we are totally free to follow our ungodly lusts with no conscience. That is really what it means.

Has he blasphemed the holy spirit?
No because your friend is repenting of his sins but is trying to find a way to have God speak to him and provide an answer to prove the validity of Jesus.
