What presidential candidate reveals their plans before they get into office with the exceptions of the ones who don't plan on really implementing them?I think he is the most pro-life candidate in the running, and even he doesn't have a plan to end abortion. He just presents his philosophy and past voting record, but no plan. I'd like to see more from him.
If you look at his statements on health care for example, he talks about what he plans to do about it (which is nothing, basically) if he is president. What he does though, is acknowledge the problem in health care, and state what he believes is a solution to it, and then discusses how he will take us there. With pro-life, he simply says "I'm pro-life; look at the way I've voted in the past." There is no plan to end abortion stated. Pro-lifers need to demand a plan from candidates.
It amazes me that folks have simply let the candidates get away with having no plan on this in the past. I'm guilty of that myself, but I won't do it again.
I get the impression you think hiding ones plan is the right thing to do.What presidential candidate reveals their plans before they get into office with the exceptions of the ones who don't plan on really implementing them?
Is this kind of like President Bush's secret plan for turning things around in Iraq during the 2004 election campaign? "Trust me, I have a plan." "What is it?" "Can't tell you.". Turns out he didn't really have a plan. I can't say that I was surprised. What presidential candidate reveals their plans before they get into office with the exceptions of the ones who don't plan on really implementing them?
Interesting link where you rate the candidates yourself... http://www.usatoday.com:80/news/politics/election2008/candidate-match-game.htm
After you are done you can use the sliding scales on the right to give weight to the different categories.
... Brownback still comes out on top for me.

Umm, wrong thread I think...I hate Linux. Can't even install Flashplayer without it turning into something I'd need a six month computer seminar to be able to handle... It took me like 30 minutes just to figure out I couldn't do it. But I have to run Linux because it is free and Windows was too prone to viruses. I wish I had a Mac...
I love my 12 inch powerbook. But, I also got it when I was still a student so I got their nice student discount.I hate Linux. I'd tell you you're right, but my dad would tell you to get Ubuntu. Windows is teh awfulz anyway.
Although I've heard of Huckabee before tonight, to tell you the truth, I'd never heard him speak and couldn't have picked him out of a crowd. Then tonight, I sort of /kinda watched/listened to part of the Republican presidential debate on TV. Actually, I was doing other stuff and it just happened to be on the tube. So while I wasn't really watching it, I could hear the candidates. And I kept liking what I heard from one guy in particular. Turned out to be Huckabee. The "funny" thing is, if asked specifically what he said that I liked, I'd actually be a little stumped, because I can't really recall. I just know that this one guy kept getting my attention and that I found myself liking what he was saying . . . whatever it was. LOLI think he is the most pro-life candidate in the running, and even he doesn't have a plan to end abortion. He just presents his philosophy and past voting record, but no plan.
