President Trump tweeted today: We are tracking closely tropical storm Dorian as it heads, as usual, to Puerto Rico. FEMA and all others are ready, and will do a great job. When they do, let them know it, and give them a big Thank You - Not like last time. That includes from the incompetent Mayor of San Juan!
First of all, to complete the 2017 hurricane season following hurricane Maria, we had Nate and Ophelia. Neither of these even came close to Puerto Rico. 2017 had 10 hurricane class tropical events. Only 2 of those ten affected Puerto Rico. In 2016 there were 7 hurricane class tropical events and none of them affected Puerto Rico. 2018 had 8 hurricane class tropical events and none of them affected Puerto Rico. So, where does he get off making the snide quip that this track of Dorian across Puerto Rico is 'as usual'? It honestly doesn't seem to be usual at all.
Second, why does he feel that it's important in his presidential communications with the world to close his account of what's going on concerning preparedness for Dorian by referring to the Mayor of San Juan as 'incompetent'?
For me, it is just such mean and stupid claims, made by the leader of the United States, that ensures that he'd never see my name on his list of supporters or accounted as one of his votes. Everyone else, do what you feel is right!
God bless,
In Christ, ted
