"I did not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfil it" is prophetic of a coming Age.

Hi there,

So as Revelation tells us, the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy. This means that specific things Jesus said, have a prophetic power, compared with the context for which they were meant. Take "I did not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfil it", in the Spirit of Prophecy, this points to a coming Age, when Man will live with the Law of Christ (previously it was said Man was "under" the Law, but in the Age of Christ's Law Man will live with it). This the power of Jesus' Word, prophetically!

This comes after we have been transfigured (meeting Jesus in the air), but before we are spiritually complete, meaning that our souls have time to perfect the Law of Christ and become in Spirit that which He was, on the cross. So it is that while the world says "Peace, peace!" now, yet in the Age coming they will be silenced, just as Jesus was silent on the cross - and His disciples will have strength, because they have the cross, which made Christ strong, according to law, on the cross. In all this we will have trials and tribulations, but not that that can be compared with Man, who will continue to be vexed and in fear of their lives.

So it is that the Man reaching a hundred years shall be strong, in the Lord. The carnal man, will be beset with nightmares, fears and vexations - not having learned to conform his spirit with the work of Christ, through the law. The Holy Spirit, then, will be able to dash to pieces the nations, who have not accepted Christ's gift of Life, through which the working of the Spirit can be followed and learned from. This is as important as drinking a cup of cold water, in the name of a disciple. It is the wholly convicted spirit, that God is able to bless in Heaven, according to the Law which Christ fulfilled - even to the coming of an Age, by it.

Thanks,
C

There is NO difference between the Law of God and the Word of God. They are both made up of the exact same letters of the Hebrew alphabet.

Ok sure, but no doubt you agree Man sees as Law, what is Word to the faithful? That is the point of the Law of Christ: it is fashioned in conviction. But nevertheless, it is a conviction Man does not have.

.

In both the OT [Jeremiah 31:31-34] and NT [Hebrews 10:16-23] God says He wants His laws written in the minds and hearts of His people. Because of God's peoples' repeated sinful backsliding, then and now, I see this fulfilled in the resurrection of the dead and translation of the living into incorruptible, immortal bodies.

The law was a teacher or school master to show us the way of righteousness. The law is good but the law does not give us the power and the strength to live right. The law does not transform us. The Grace of God works in us to give us the ability to live free from sin. Of course the devil wants people to think that grace is a rose colored glasses that God wears to ignore sin and nothing can be further from the truth. We are told that all of creation groans waiting for redemption from corruption and decay. Death is long and slow because then people are given a chance to repent and turn away from their sin before it it to late .
