    I am GAY

And I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I love GOD with all my heart, mind, and strength. When I was little I wanted to become a nun, but since now I don't feel as if GOD is calling me to that certain vocation, I will gladly become a consecrated virgin for HIM. I love Jesus more than any other earthy spouse I could ever have.

I know that you can't see me, you can only see the words I type, but I have a face. I am made of flesh and blood just like you. And evertime I read these posts and threads championing hatred, I weep.

Just because I just so happen to be a woman and I'm attracted to people who just so happen to be women as well, I am Satan incarnate?

I am not trying to 'lead anyone astray'. I am not trying to corrupt the world. I am not trying to take away your rights. I am not trying to 'make' you or your children gay. I am not flaunting, or saying that my 'lifestyle' is better than yours.

Hell, a few years ago I tried to kill myself because everywhere I turned I was met with hatred and bigotry. Now, I know that GOD loves me for who I am and nothing that you can do or say can take me to that dark place again.

One day (GOD willing) if I don't become a consecrated virgin, I would like to get married and have the exact same rights as any other couple. If I get married then I would like to be able to adopt a child, just like any other couple.

All I want to do is be loved, respected, and accepted just like any other person. What I don't want is to be tolerated like my very presence is some noxious thing. So what I'm going to do is pray for you to open your heart and to attempt to love indiscriminately and unconditionally just like GOD does the world and every person in it. And if you could, pray for me as well.

Much Love Always and Peace in Christ Eternally.

BTW I'm not trying to beat anyone over the head with this. All I want is a serious response be it critical or otherwise.

God loves you. But the Bible says that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. I'm not gonna bother posting the verse, since I'm sure you've heard it many times when debating homosexuality with Christians. But keep your heart open to God, you're on the right track.

Thank you for your reply, and I will continue to keep my heart open for GOD's love and will. But it probably won't change my sexual orientation. If it does I'll be sure to let you know.

If someone likes or agrees with something you've posted, they rep it. So, my guess is you probably are rather likable. :) I know I certainly liked what you had to say in your OP. Anyway, welcome to CF (from another rather new member on this site).

I don't get identifying according to what sex of human beings you find sexually attractive.
It seems to me society must be way too obsessed with sex if people really think that is a big enough of a part of who they are to identify themselves according to it.

In my opinion, God is concerned with love, not sexual orientation. Don't ever feel guilty for your sexuality.

Hi Tissue, you're right, God is greatly concerned with 'love', but is that His only concern? Does He not, at the same time, also care deeply about His other attributes ... such as righteousness and holiness? Or do you believe God's "love" negates/overrules any other concerns that He might otherwise have for us?

Also, in loving us, what is it that you believe God wants most for us?

    Yours and His,
    David

I do not hold the same value judgments of homosexuality that you do, nor do I think the verses presented in Scripture, when properly translated and interpreted, eternally condemn homosexuality as a sin.

I generally agree with you Tissue...although I'd add that homosexuality wasn't part of God's original design. That doesn't make it wrong. Is eating meat wrong? No. However...God's original design was for us to be naked vegetarians. I realize that doesn't make gay-folk feel any better about their sexuality...but it is a byproduct of the fall.

    I am STRAIGHT.

Now that we have come to terms with our sexuality lets follow the will of God and not the will we have for ourselves. I pray in all things and all your path of life, you look for the author and finisher of our faith so that you may please Him. You said you love Christ, I pray that your fruits show it. God bless.

I, like most people I suppose, do not understand everything about the homosexual realm. So many people think they have very developed gaydar so they can detect when they meet a gay person. Then they hear about the actor Rock Hudson dying of Aids years ago and they admit they were suprised to even know he was gay. I do not know how his homosexuality could be hidden so well but guys like Liberace just seem to radiate it. Maybe there is transexuality involved, I don't know. I do know that to be out in public and it be obvious to everyone, makes for a real tough life. Especially in employment.

Welcome to the best forum to discuss the Bible and issues like this with some of the most schooled and smartest people!

I have learned so much from them in the few years I've been here.
