I have told you many, many times that I disagree. But you simply ignore that I disagree and state it as though it is something we all agree on.

Again, Hod is the sum total of all physical phenomena needed to make the phenomena that caused the universe. It can be far more than just mechanical facts.

Hod is the sum total of all that is needed.

If what is needed is forces plus physics plus other laws, than the combination of that is Hod.

Your God is also subject to the laws of math. You know that. You know that God cannot make 2+ 2 = 10, yes?

I am going to assume that you know your God does not have the power to make 2 + 2 = 10 until you state that you think he has that power.

And 2 + 2 cannot possibly equal 10, yes? You and I know that is impossible, yes?

Right, and the answer is "no". We all know that. Everybody here knows that. God cannot possibly make 2+ 2 =10.

At least I don't know that I won't burn in hell forever if I somehow use the wrong name for God. At least I don't have to fear what will happen if my Bible has the wrong name for God (e.g., Alleh) and I use the wrong name when I call on the creator.

And do you also know that God does not have the power to make 2 + 2 = 10? Or does that question stump you?

    Yes, but 2 + 2 can equal 11.

Can you answer this question I came up with a long time ago?

    Farmer Brown has ten cows.

He sells some, and now he has twelve cows.

How many cows did he sell?

He made a jar of oil keep pouring out until they ran out of jars to put the oil in so in that sense he could stretch the numbers. 1 plus zero equals many.

That is not what we are talking about. I too can make 2 apples plus 2 apples = 10 apples if I am allowed to sneak 6 apples in when you aren't looking.

The issue is that Mark insists that God invented math. Mark insists that God invented the fact that 2 + 2 = 4. I contend that God could not have possibly made 2 + 2 equal anything other than 4. There is no way around it. No God can invent it to be otherwise. But Mark will not back down. He refuses to say that God does not have the power to make 2 + 2 = 10. But he refuses to say he has that power either. He bobs and he weaves and he refuses to address the question. Its a real stumper.

God did not invent math. He did not decide that 2 + 2 = 4. It always did equal 4. That is a simple fact of reality. Nothing can change that fact. God himself cannot change that fact.

What do you think? Can God make math such that these two lines both truly have the same number of x's (no edits allowed).

    1. xx xx
    2. xxxxxxxxxx

Is that really that difficult of a question? I contend that there is no possible way that God could make math such that both lines truly have the same number of x's.

You agree with me on that point, yes?

One thing God cannot do is lie. Whatever he says becomes reality. If he said grass is black it would all turn black. I don't know why God would ever want 2 plus 2 to equal anything but four so the question is moot. Could he change math? I don't know when I finally get the chance to ask him that's not going to be something I am worried about.

So is Christopher Columbus sailing across the Atlantic Ocean.

Which came first? the occurrence? or the story it generated?
