Trump is absolutely right about Sweden | The Huffington Post

Archive because they've since removed the article for wrongthink.

Many journalists around the world are eager to condemn Donald Trump no matter what. When he tweeted about immigration in Sweden few days ago, the social media exploded. Most of the opponent said that Trump had made up the immigration problem Sweden are having. They are wrong.

This is not the Huffington Post admitting anything. It is a blog post form a contributor, an unpaid person who has a blog section on the site.

I noticed you attacked the source without ever arguing any of the points. Nice.

The thrust of the title is that the Huffington Post admitted something then hid it, suggesting malfeasance on the part of Huffington Post. If you'd like to discuss the content of the article, that's fine, but you should make that a lot more clear.

In case you missed it: another source: How Sweden became an example of how not to handle immigration

Anyhow, so you don't think them removing a contributor's post for wrong-think is a problem?

Which, again, has nothing to do with it disappearing down the "memory hole"

No more than ChristianForums removing a post for wrong-think is a problem.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

From your link:
"In addition to columns by Arianna Huffington and a group of contributors such as John Conyers, Harry Shearer, Leonard Kim, Jeff Pollack, and Roy Sekoff, The Huffington Post has many bloggers—from politicians and celebrities to academics and policy experts—who contribute on a wide range of topics. Specialist contributors include spiritual author Craig Taro Gold[56] and health expert Jeff Halevy"

That is nothing like a random poster on any forum.

Sure, but when someone signs up for it, they agree to certain standards. I'd prefer them not to remove stuff, but it's their site and if they don't like something, they can remove it.

So, in other words, you admit that they are guilty of what I said, you simply disagree that it was wrong.

They weren't guilty of "Admitting Trump was right".

Yes, I left out contributor, due to space limitations. It was all a giant scheme by CF, XenForo Software, and myself. We've been waiting years to strike.

You accuse the MSM of lying for less omission.

Citation needed.

Tell you what, though, if a mod will, they can change it from:
"HuffPo Admitted that Trump Was Right on Sweden before it dropped the piece down the memory hole"

to:
"HuffPo Contributor admits Trump was right on Sweden. Huffpo drops piece down the memory hole"

I do thank you, however, for proving why I almost always use the exact title for articles I post. I will be sure to link to this thread as an example of what I mean that if I fail to use the exact title, someone who could not argue anything, except to quibble over a vacuous truth, will attempt to derail the thread. :congrat:

I assume the title is what people want to discuss. I'm sorry I'm not some kind of super genius who can read the minds of those who post things and glean what they actually want to discuss.

HI rion,

I'm not so sure the big bruhaha was about whether or not Sweden has had problems in taking in so many immigrants. President Trump made a comment about something having happened the night before his comments. As far as I understand, the real issue is whether or not something of any import, that the President might have been alluding to, did, in fact, happen the night before his comment.

I honestly imagine that a lot of the European nations are struggling with the massive influx of refugees and there are bound to be some problems in dealing with so many in such a short period of time for all of the nations involved. Yes, I'm sure that just like here, there are a lot of Swedes who are disturbed about the issue and that is also to be expected.

Germany has had reports of disturbances as well as France and Greece. Let's face it, there are several million refugees leaving Syria and that would be likened to the U.S. closing down the city of New York. According to the U.N. more than 4 million Syrians have left their country and another 6.6 million are living displaced, (meaning that they are out of their actual homes and living in camps)in Syria. That's some 10 million people moving about and such a massive movement is bound to create some problems. New York city boasts 8 million citizens.

So, to try to prove that Sweden hasn't had some problems with the issue isn't particularly hard, but...referencing some 'unknown' event taking place on a particular night in order to bolster another of President Trump's fairy tales is what I think everyone is really concerned about.

Regularly and constantly, when President Trump is pushed about the legitimacy of some claim that he's allowed his mouth to make without his brain engaged, he falls back on:

"Well, I read that somewhere," or "That's what someone told me," or "I heard that on the news." The last one of course being jokingly ironic since it is also his regularly and constantly repeated claim that the news can't be trusted. So, why on earth would a man who knows that you can't trust the news, use news reports without vetting them himself?

We'll see.

God bless you,
In Christ, ted

Anyhow, so you don't think them removing a contributor's post for wrong-think is a problem?
Wrong-think is double plus unthinkable so it must go away. So that it never existed. Doesn't matter who wrong-thunk the original wrong-think. Sweden is plus blissful. Be blissful. Plus blissful if possible. Double plus blissful would be good, or even plus good, or you get the idea.
