Today I got really frustrated not to repeat my issues just search my post history but getting ready to walk I heard some again non-believer outside swear using the f-word twice. After which I snapped at my Grandmother and made her cry when she said I had to wait to take a walk not to leave my sister alone. I feel really bad.

After walking I listened to traditional jazz wearing headphones. Then I did listen to some Christian music had it put it loud when there were some risque teens that irritated me then 90's Dance. Now I am home I still feel crummy I don't feel rage from walking but still crummy.

Now Christians can hear that filth and still keep there faith. For me every time it is almost like a knockout. It still bothers me maybe not as much making me backslide but it still feels like I keep getting knocked out.

If all of the sinful things that surround us make you start to lose your faith, you need to put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6) and spend more time in prayer. Until He takes us home, it's only going to get worse here in this world. Paul tells us again and again to persevere.

Thanks I cried out to God last night in prayer and feel better. It is still an struggle but I know I am not alone with fellowship from people and God.

Not to repeat myself again but my faith is in the bottom again. I am not going to the Thursday life group any more. Tired of hearing about there problems and there use of profanity. Really one of the Christian couples was talking about job interviews and how it is okay to say mother f***ing.

I now stopped talking walks felt quiet suicidal yesterday until my Grandmother talked me out of it and I am most likely not attending Church Sunday and before anyone says find a different Church they are all the same well the Church is fine it is that life group that is not and unless I go into where Monks and you can't speak.

Also I still have the Wednesday life group which rarely meets because those who attend are always so busy but the environment and people are ten folds better and are more true to the faith.

    Hi Tony,

I am jumping into this conversation mid-stream without reading the entire thread, but I'd like to ask you how your personal relationship with Jesus is going. Irregardless of what others are doing, how are you doing with spending time with Him in prayer, in reading His Word daily, in being fed the Word consistently (even if that means you "attend" an online church who's pastor teaches the word soundly), etc.? Are those things suffering?

I believe in Jesus and dying for the sins but it's the actions of others that make it hard to believe it.

Hello Tony, the Christian life is a struggle, Jesus told us while we were here on earth we will struggle, but please, take your eyes off others and leave God to deal with them.

Concentrate on your relationship with Jesus, pray and read your Bible, perhaps read a Psalm for instance Psalm 27 and go for a walk whilst trying to memorise say, verses 1 and 2
This will help immensely and I would also add that if the people who are continually swearing name themselves as Christians then I would personally stay away from them as bad company does corrupt. It is not having a good impact on you, so if it means leaving the group, well then I would.

Please, please do not allow others behaviors ruin your Christian walk. We are not responsible for them, do not look to them or anyone else.

Focus on JESUS and what He says. And when need be cry out to God for help.
Put on the whole armour of God, read Ephesians 6 and remember it daily.
    God bless you dear brother.

    Tony,

I agree fully with what Heavenhome said. Focus on Jesus and, as my father in law used to say, "Keep your eyes 10 feet and above." (In other words, take your eyes off of man because they will let you down. But keep them on Jesus because He never will.)

I even heard one of them said "Holy S**t" during the retreat. That is using the Lords name in vain.

The Tuesday Alpha one crashed and burned by one non believer constant swearing another Tuesday group went dead just stopped meeting with no info.

Now I only have one life group to attend Wednesday "actually the first one I joined" when they are not always busy it is lucky to meet once a month, one time before joining the horrible Thursday group it meet two week in a row. I just hope when summer is over the Wednesday group is not "always busy" to make two hours one night a week to attend.

Also meant to say when I OP this in early June I have not even attended the Thursday life group yet but did not want to create a new topic just to get reply's like "get over it" or the word stand for "f under the king" garbage answers.

Pray for them .... and then let it go. We are bombarded and exposed to much evil and disgusting things ... there is just no way in getting away from all of it ... but don't let it steal your joy in the Lord.
