How does one find out which church is true ?

2Ti 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
test all things against Scripture
1Jn 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;
1Jn 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.
1Jn 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
If what you are saying is true, then why are all the differing doctrinal churches not united in name and one banner ?The OP wants to know: "How does one find out which Church is true ?"
By trial and error.
In ANY Denomination (which each one has its own doctrine), it matters MORE what the Pastor feels.
Each Pastor decides which points of Spirituality he wants to emphasize.
So, go to a Church . . . and listen.
If it feels True to you, then you are least close to your personal Spiritual Truth.
As far as: "So many differing argumentative doctrines !" ... I am not sure what you are saying.
Most doctrines are not augumentative.
Each Denomination believes as they believe.
If you are suggesting that people from differing Denominations like to argue about their doctrine ... well, some people just LIKE to argue.
Within the Protestant Denominations, most of their doctrine is the same.
Certainly if you're a Baptist, you won't be expecting Miraculous occurences.
If your full-Gospel, however, healings (and other Miracles) are available (and expected).
Beyond that, I see most of the doctrinal differences as pretty small.
The Christian Church IS Truth.
Doctrine is so-much-Fluff, in comparison.
pride, arrogance, false teaching and people following them as the Bible told us would happenIf what you are saying is true, then why are all the differing doctrinal churches not united in name and one banner ?
Now don´t go telling me they all believe in Jesus Christ and are united in Him, that is an untruth, they are all divided in there doctrines and teachings !
Their ways are not One, so they do not follow the One Way, One Truth, One Faith which Jesus was talking about. They are differing Faiths.
Minor ? Ha ! Ha !pride, arrogance, false teaching and people following them as the Bible told us would happen
Also, we need to consider what are essential doctrines and what are not. One clearly seperates followers of Christ from people who follow a false god and the other is just minor differences of opinion on some issues.
minor...legalists who claim we are never to drink alcohol, just an example.Minor ? Ha ! Ha !
False God, like who do you mean ?
