Be not deceived!
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Gal 6 v7)
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind (Hosea 8 v7)
The Bible does not reveal the more complex forms of deception because that would just up the game to another level. But until that happens lets try to work out how deception is achieved in the present day.
It appears to be largely done by memeplex manipulation.
1. A person is persuaded something is good, if necessary by saying it is the opposite of something stated in the Bible to be bad,
2. and then it is linked to something else, and then to something else that is the opposite of what the opposing political party wants, and then to something else and
3. eventually the whole memeplex is accepted which by now looks like a party platform, and the person votes Democrat or Republican depending on which camel they swallowed, with the conviction of being right and decries the stupidity of the other group which showed itself to be stupid by doing pretty much the same thing.
But through all the smoke and trees there often is a choice that isn't as bad as the other one, unfortunately the barrage of arguments usually makes it almost impossible to show someone of the opposite persuasion what it actually the best or least bad, choice.
