Why not let scripture itself tell you what stars represent in the book of Revelation? Why can't the stars be literal stars?
For what exactly?I'm 100,000% ready.
The literal stars are the size of the sun and many are multiple times larger. The size of the earth is dwarfed by the size of the sun. So it is physically not possible.
The stars is that particular verse is speaking about righteous people of God.
Daniel 8:10 goes back to Daniel 7:25, the little horn person in that verse who wears out the saints of the most High.No. Elect do not fall.
The little horn is a person.
Another horn in Daniel 8, 8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
It is referring to Alexander, which his Greece kingdom was broken up into four lesser kingdoms.
Daniel 8:10 goes back to Daniel 7:25, the little horn person in that verse who wears out the saints of the most High.
Daniel 8:10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Why not let scripture itself tell you what stars represent in the book of Revelation?
Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Now I'm not saying this is the end. But I am going to find out when the next eclipse visable from Jerusalem happens.
This is a good example of why many professed Christians do not bother to study Scripture to find truth anymore. They only believe what they were told. They believe what is popular out there. They believe what they hear in the newspaper. They believe what seems right in their eyes (personal opinion, private interpretation, speculations, etc.).
Or, they may do read Scripture but will not find or understand truth anymore.
Amo 8:11-12
(11) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
(12) And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
Signs of time.
I doubt he was being literal. That is rather judgemental to claim that we do not bother to study Scripture to find truth anymore. You are talking to very intelligent and dedicated Christians. You might not believe the same as the rest of us, but please do not presume to know how we spend our time or how much of our time we spend in Scripture.
