I think we should do paragraph by paragraph posting a new thread daily. The old threads would remain open and people could read and add their comments for as long as there was an interest in a certain paragraph. If we had several paragraphs getting a lot of messages we could slow down until the hot topics played out then move on.

I don't know, one thread per paragraph might bog things down. When I originally posted about the CCC, I was thinking about 10 paragraphs or so (depending on topic consistency) per day.

Majority rules, of course!

so here is what i plan to do. We will take a section at a time probably about one a day. If we are getting a lot of posts we will slow down. But this is a big book and it would be nice to get through it in about a year. Please feel free to give me feedback. Also would someone like to back me up incase something happens and i can't post for a period of time?

i really look forward to studying this great book with you!!

we can modify as we go and i am always open to feedback. lets put comments on how things are going speed etc in this thread ok and i'll watch for new posts here.

also i am really open to someone else sharing the lead in this with me or even taking over. If you want to do either please let me know either here or pm

all for JESUS!!

one more question / comment:

I will entitle the threads: CCC-2 word or two (4-10)
CCC-2 will be the number in the sequance of the Catechism of the Catholic Church study

the "word or two" will be something catchy to bring readers in
and the numbers int the (x-x) will be the paragraphs this thread will cover

how does that sound?? any suggestions??

Should we do a new thread for each (paragraph) number in the Catachism or should we do a new thread for each chapter?? How fast should we go?

Hi Lonnie  Great question!

Well, I voted that we post a new thread with each chapter.

Personally, the CCC has always kind of intimidated me. I'm interested in reading more in here. Thank you for coming up and heading this project!!

I am going to modify our study becasue i believe prayer is so extremely important. I shall intersperse our study with a CCCP1* title (paragraphs) *CCCP1=Catechism of the Catholic Church prayer number in that group.

So we will go through the Catachism in order and interspersed with that will be studies of the last section which we will also do in order.

Do you understand? What do you think of this idea? If you want to go straight through the CCC just don't read the CCCP threads until we get to that in the Book.

I am doing the Prayer section now cause i need to keep Prayer the center of my life and also the center of my study
