He had good reason most of the time we don't.

That's right...besides...if He became "fed up" with His own disciples, as you claim, mrhappy...
What makes you think He wouldn't get just as fed up with you or me?

I think we need to be very careful how we interpret Scripture, friend.

appreiciated, I just take it as quoted.

I think maybe sometimes he does get fed up with our antics, it dosen't mean he will abandon, forsake, and stop loving us. In fact he loves us more.

Thats why it states, don't get weary in well doing.

We all get weary, some people get us down, and we have to bite our lip and press on.

Pauls thorn in the flesh was an obvious "irritant" to him, he asked the Lord to remove it.

The lord does chasten those that he loves.

I often in my most spiritual voice say to people - lets get down to basics.

"Grow up"

I can help as much as I can in certain instances, but if they continue to play the "fool" - I have to leave them alone for a while, wipe the dust off my feet and move onto the next "case".

Thats what I mean.:)

Jesus can get angry with people, too. Like how He is angered at the temple for their money changing services, and he overturned their tables.

Zeal for God can make Jesus really upset with all who are hypocritical in nature.

O unbelieving generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me." (Mark 9v19)

^_^

I feel that way myself about the "irritants" I come across at times...Lord give me grace.

It is one thing to be exasperated with someone and another to be “fed up” with them.
