The only possible political good out of ISIS running rampart is if they make it far enough to overtake Saudi Arabia. I bet the muslim world would do something against them as soon as they take over the two holiest cities in Islam.

That would be terrible. The Saudis are some of the biggest funders of EXTREME Islamist terrorists in the entire world. I would be concerned that if they take a huge lead, what they would want to replace ISIS with in these regions.

We can get a hint of what kind of groups they support in Syria, where Saudis are big funders of Al-Nusra (which is linked to Al-Qaeda) and other Islamist terrorist groups.

A much more preferable solution is Iran taking the lead.

I'm always amazed at the capability of our marines, and no doubt 300 marines would do some serious damage. But to believe they would be able to take on something this size is a stretch to be polite, and lunacy to be frank.
