Just as we will only eat when we want to, we will probably only sleep when we want and for as long as we want up to a point or maybe only need sleep a quarter of the time we do now etc. So could go 4 days without sleep just fine perhaps, lots of possibilities.

You will still be able to go into your room, draw the curtains, drapes whatever, turn off the lights and have a dark room to sleep in.

Yes it is figurative. it's quoting this chapter about the New Jerusalem.

Isaiah 60 (AKJV) 1 Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen on you. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you. 3 And the Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 Lift up your eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to you: your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5 Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

The sea is an illustration of the Gentile nations which will not longer be gentile nations because of all the Christian in them and the Christian principle and influnce that will be thier moral standard.

That is true. We probably will only sleep as much as we "need" because isn't oversleeping a sin? And we will be sinless. Just a thought.

The new heaven and new earth isn’t a prophecy about a new physical planet. It’s a prophecy about Gods people, the bride of Christ in a world transformed from the madness of the ancient to a world where the influence of the righteous is the dominate factor. The New Jerusalem has dozens of chapters of prophecy about it not just those two. You have to look at all of them to understand what is being prophesied about.

One of the primary chapters is Isaiah 60 from which Revelation’s
New Jerusalem directly quotes a half dozen verses. But here is Isaiah 65’s tendering of the new heaven and earth.
    Isaiah 65
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18 But be you glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more there an infant of days, nor an old man that has not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth (children) for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, said the LORD. (AKJV)

I've never heard of oversleeping to be a sin.
For that matter, how do you define oversleep, if you can sleep then isn't it by definition, sleep your body can use, otherwise you would not feel sleepy.
I know when i sleep in, i usually end up staying up later, ie i don't feel sleepy again for a longer period.

I've heard that oversleeping is a form of laziness and sloth is a sin. But I guess oversleeping would be sleeping like 12-15 hours a day. When we are given our new bodies we definitely wouldn't need to sleep that long and we would probably just sleep because we want to. And like you said we probably would only sleep for a few hours ast a time. Just a thought.

In the perfect world, what we don't need will not be.
Everything there will be for the glory of God.
    No watches, no calendars.

The new age will be an extension of heaven, not earth.
Revelation 4:8 And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”

Revelation 7:15 “Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.

No, in a perfect world, there will be no suffering, disease, aging, death etc.
But there will be things we desire but don't strictly need, like a watch, why on earth would a watch be forbidden??

We know we will be able to eat, if i want to have a meal with some friends, how do i organize it??
Could i perhaps say, lets meet 12 hours from now?? (hmm, seems like i will 'need' a awatch after all!) ergo, we need a method to mark and measure time if only to co-ordinate activities.

The world will be as it was before the fall of Adam, Adam was told by God to delight himself in the Garden, eat what you want, do what you want, etc (except for eating of the tree of knowledge). In the new earth (ie paradise), if i want to play tennis i will be able to.

That doesn't mean that we won't be worshiping God but we will still be able to live and enjoy life.

I don't think the law of physics have changed since creation. Do you think gravity and people's mass will be the same in the next age as creation? I don't even think that the next world will be physical like the one we now have. I think it will be closer to a world like heaven. Most people think the new world just like our current world. I just want to challenge them that the physics as such don't support some of the statements in scripture, like a city that reaches to space and a mountain as high.

Not refering to that. I speak to the laws of thermodynamics. Romans 8 gives indication they changed with the fall, and will be restored in the end.

I believe the saints living in the city are the bride. I don't think there will be people outside of the city. So no day and no night, no time. This is a symbol of eternity, not having a measure of time.
I don't believe this at all. I don't take the prophecies in Revelation literally and I don't take the prophecies in Isaiah literally. The two most obvious differences. God dwells with us and his glory gives us the light we need. We will be like angels, not reproduce.
No, only if you take Isaiah literally, but there are obvious failures to do so.

I see the frustration of creation being a change to genetics, not thermodynamics. I find it interesting that there are 6000 year old trees, so their life was not cursed/frustrated, only animals. But, thorns were introduced to plant life at the fall.

The 2nd law of thermodynamics says that entropy can never decrease. Only increase or stay steady state. That is the frustration that the universe was subjected to at the fall. That effects genetics and everything else.

no need to walk, just will to rise more or less above the earth and flow along . . . like a drone to get different views and heights, but preferably along with others for companionship and love :)

It says the city doesn't need the light from the Sun or Moon not that there is no Sun or Moon.

The walls are not 1500 miles tall

Rev 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

and the height of the city can also be figurative rather than literal:

    G5311
    ὕψος
    hupsos
    hoop'-sos
From a derivative of G5228; elevation, that is, (abstractly) altitude, (specifically) the sky, or (figuratively) dignity: - be exalted, height, (on) high.

    Barnes:

According to this representation, the height of the city, not of the walls (compare Rev_21:17), would be three hundred and seventy-five miles. Of course, this cannot be understood literally, and the very idea of a literal fulfillment of this shows the absurdity of that method of interpretation. The idea intended to be conveyed by this immense height would seem to be that it would contain countless numbers of inhabitants. It is true that such a structure has not existed, and that a city of such a height may seem to be out of all proportion; but we are to remember:
    (a) that this is a “symbol”; and,
    (b) that, considered as one mass or pile of buildings, it may not seem to be out of proportion. It is no uncommon thing that a house should be as high as it is long or broad.
The idea of vastness and of capacity is the main idea designed to be represented. The image before the mind is, that the numbers of the redeemed will be immense.

Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
Rev 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

The gates are always open because there are people coming through the gates to enter the city.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Every month means an eternity of time. 12 dif fruits a month means 12 dif fruits every year. 30 days in a month, 12 months in a year.

No, the measure of eternity is to not die, ie existing forever.

You don't understand time, as soon as you have even so much as a thought in eternity then there will be a time before you had the thought and a time after you had the thought.

Time is marked by the occurrence of events, we mark time by measuring things against a regular series of other events, so one says before this or after this. There will be lots and lots of events (by people and things) and some will be used to mark time.

Jesus could eat and did eat on several occasions with his resurrected body and so too will we be able to eat.

I will be able to organize an event to eat and socialize with friends and tell them to meet me at a certain point in the timeline (ie 12 hours from now).
Then I will be able to organize another event to eat and socialize with family and tell them to meet at another point in time (ie 24 hours after i have met with my friends).

Eternity will have everything that is good in this existence and plenty more.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

The bible itself confirms the existence of months, hence years, days, a calendar, ie TIME!!!
