So people on the top floors have to walk 1500 miles to get the water?
I thought the best got the penthouse suite on the top floor.
I guess I shoot for the bottom floor.

    There is no such thing.

Looks like you need to go back to that original post of mine and read it more carefully.

Here is something to think about.

John 4:7 There comes a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus said to her, Give me to drink. 8 (For his disciples were gone away to the city to buy meat.) 9 Then said the woman of Samaria to him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that said to you, Give me to drink; you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water. 11 The woman said to him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from where then have you that living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15 The woman said to him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come here to draw.

Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bore twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.....17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. Mark 8:17 And when Jesus knew it, he said to them, Why reason you, because you have no bread? perceive you not yet, neither understand? have you your heart yet hardened? 18 Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? and do you not remember? 19 When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? They say to him, Twelve. 20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? And they said, Seven. 21 And he said to them.....Matthew 16: 11 How is it that you do not understand that I spoke it not to you concerning bread, that you should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Along the same lines of thought. How is it so many do not understand and think the bride of Christ is a physical city with a physical river; called the river of life?

Sure right after you explain how there will be some on the new earth that are not "brides" and in the city of God that gets its light from God.

BTW, my post was in jest for those that think the text speaks literally.

Has nothing to do with who is a bride. The text only says there is no night for the city, not the rest of the planet. So, to claim night ceases to exist entirely is a false conclusion.

I don't see a line of thought. I see a quote of John 4 that teaches a symbolic meaning to the spring of water to eternal life.

As I said before, all that will be resurrected on the new earth will be in the city. It has everything to do with who is the bride. Who do you think will be on earth and not in the city for the bride?

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive.....
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
John 7:14 But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Psalm 46: Selah. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
Jeremiah 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

All of those are symbolic. What makes them symbolic and not this?

Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bore twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Especially when the gospel "heals" the nations?
Psalm 22:26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. 27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the families of the nations shall worship before you. 28 For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations.
Isaiah 60: 3 And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 Lift up your eyes all around, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip. 5 Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you. (ESV)
    Isaiah 49:6 He says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”...8 Thus said the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that said to Zion, Your God reigns! ..... 10 The LORD has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.... 13 Behold, my servant (the messiah) shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. 14 As many were astonished at you; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: 15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
Isaiah 42:Behold my servant, (the messiah) whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit on him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. 2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment to truth. 4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. 5 Thus said God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; he that gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to them that walk therein: 6 I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
Psalm 67: 1 God be merciful to us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine on us; Selah. 2 That your way may be known on earth, your saving health among all nations. 3 Let the people praise you, O God; let all the people praise you. 4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for you shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on earth. Selah. 5 Let the people praise you, O God; let all the people praise you. 6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
Psalm 82: 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for you shall inherit all nations.
Psalm 86: 9 All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name.

That question can be asked of much of scripture starting in Genesis. The answer is it is both.
You are assuming the laws of physics are the same as they are now rather than reverting back to what they were before the fall of Adam. Don't make that assumption.

While it does say no seas, it could be figurative speech.
It doesn't say there won't be a sun though if i recollect correctly, and nothing about a moon either..

Revelation 22 follows on from Revelation 21, the end of which is describing the new city, 1500 miles cubed. Hence the comments about no night or sunlight etc are about the city and what it will be like to live there. It will basically be a 24 hour always open, always buzzing city that will not need sunlight or moonlight or have downtime (ie night time).

The rest of the new Earth the city is on may very well have sunlight etc.

What about if we expand by the same factor? Then the city won't seem so big. :)

Revelation 21:23. It does. But I didn't know it said no sea either. I've only read revelation a few times.

Of course there will be time! We just won't age like we do now.
You think I won't be able to build a watch, or a calendar, in the new earth and schedule my day or activities by it, of course i will.

This is not saying there wont be a Sun, just that the new city won't need its light, it will be a buzzing 24hr always open city illuminated by Christs glory

Hmm you're right. It doesn't quite say that. It says that it has no need for the sun or moon to shine on it but doesn't specify whether or not there will be a sun or moon. All this time I've been reading that verse wrong. Oops.

Why not, you are not going to have a city with buildings say 10 stories tall but walls, or sides 1500 miles tall. if the walls are 1500 miles tall then there will be floors and activities that high (or close to it) as well in parts of the city at least if not all of it.

Of course, each floor in this city (or its buildings) could have a distance between floor and ceiling of a hundred feet or more, ie really high ceilings in all rooms.

Maybe the top floors will be where the space port is located ;)

Strangely enough Isaiah 60:19 talks about the whole sun and moon thing but doesn't really specify whether or not there will be a sun or moon. It just says the New Jerusalem will have no need for a sun or moon. So you can guess that there will be no sun or moon but neither verse really proves it. It does say there will be no night though. So there probably wouldn't be a need to sleep. But then again our new bodies won't need to eat but yet we will eat anyway. So one could argue that while we won't need to sleep we will sleep anyway.
